That and SSD are on my launch day download list, and I will be getting a hard copy of Uncharted, as I really want this for console gaming on the go. Really wish they would get on with announcing Gravity Rush though.
I got the GAME deal for Uncharted and 4 GB card, I think I will trade the 4 GB immediately and get an 8, that should see me through till either 3rd party cards are available, or sony drops the prices......(yeah right!)

I really like the push to make quality PSN games for the Vita at a variety of prices. It is an insta-buy at $10 - $15.

Ok, so I'm still not sure what the deal with the 3G model is. Is the built in GPS worth it? Is there anything else that the 3G model has that makes it a better purchase?

I just emailed Zagg, they make screen shields for a lot of cell phones and portable systems. They have no plans to make any for the Vita

I used about £16 of online credit, but I am sticking with GAME as I always receive everything from them 1 day early, and also, they have the preorder bundle that amazon dont have.
Amazon dont have the £5 voucher and blue earphones....do they?

I'm buying it to use when I am going to be on a long trip. Seems easy to add a month of 3g data when needed, and with the launch bundle you're not really paying much more for the upgrade.

Peace of mind if a game seriously supports the GPS I guess. If they can approximate it through wi-fi so everyone (sort of) gets those benefits though then I'd definitely dump the 3G in favor of the Wifi.

I already have it on order, so instead of cancelling it, I ordered the HORI for the front, I'll be trying to put that on the back. It's a two pack, so, even if it doesn't work out, there's a spare. I'll let you know on the 15th.

Just did all the maths again, and I have cancelled the GAME order, gone with amazon, it still saved me £18, I got a £15 game, and I got the memory card I wanted without faffing about. I will use my game credit to get some games from GAME, possibly preorder Unit 13.

This is really bugging me and I've yet to find an answer.
Games with cross-platform play like The Show will probably have 2 trophy sets but how exactly does that work when half your progression is on your PS3 and half your progression is on the Vita. I know 99% of people don't care but I'm one of the 1% that do

I completely understand, and don't blame you. I'd pick up whatever I could right away, even if just to stare at. Just don't lick the game stick, it looks fairly easy to swallow by accident.

I thought about it, but I am not a wipeout fan, and I dont like Japanese games.
Plus I got Dungeon Hunter for £15, so I dont mind that it will drop in price, as its starting price is 35-40, it will take a few weeks to get down to £15 anyway, I could always try and trade it at GAME, see if they offer more than I paid for it.

buy Uncharted guys, I think I'm a couple chapters left from finishing it, but it is fantastic. there's a lot more chapter than any other previous Uncharted, and since the focus is not on setpieces, a lot of these chapters give actual gameplay challenges and not story driven setpieces chapters. good variety of environment, large/wide arena for shootout giving you flexibility to move around, tons of collectible and with the bigger level, finding them all will be a challenge.
treasures/collectibles also told more of the myth/legend or backstory for Uncharted. it's done much better than any previous Uncharted ever done.
the leading female Marisa Chase is her own unique character, she's not lame attempt of cloning Elena or Chloe. Dante is also an interesting character in his own right, a more down and dirty Gabriel Roman from Uncharted 1.
fans who want more exploration, stealth and gun combat out of Uncharted will love this. I felt puzzles took more of a backseat. puzzles are easy and obvious, and it's not that many in the first place. I'd say the formula shift to 60/30/10 between shooting/traversal/puzzle. traversal is nice because it offer plenty of branching path that lead to treasure etc instead of straight forward move to next platform.
I do have to warn though, use the motion aiming, it's much better than actually aiming with the right analog stick, use the stick just to guide the reticule to general enemy location and use tilt to fine aim. sadly, I found the right analog aim alone is not enough. is a bit different than U2 or U3 post patch aiming.
