PS2 dying?

The drive has started rumbling like I do if I eat fast food chinese. Is it almost time to buy a new ps2 slim?
Maybe it just has too much dust. :)

No, I started up Gradius V and it started going BURUUGUGNGNGUGUUGUGUG and vibrating. All the dust shook off.

Anyway I think its cause I took Guitar Hero out to play Gradius V

I think you make stuff up just to make a new thread.
Wouldn't be surprised...

...maybe you should dust it...

I have to be careful with my PS2 playing Dragon Quest VIII. I've noticed that if I play for too long the poor thing is clearly in agony. :lol

Finally beat Gradius V last night. Awesome awesome awesome game.

Cool stuff happens when you finish it (if you haven't already) that warrants a little replay (besides the obvious fact that it's great to replay anyway).

Damn i had this really great idea for a joke, but it turned out his goddamn ps2 itself was dying, go buy a new one bitch.

But what a way to go!

I thought my PS2 was dying while I was playing through DQVIII, but it's cool now. Just try it later, it may be alright. It is a blue-backed disc (Gradius V), I know some people have problems with those, but it may just be a DRE or something similar. You might try another blue-backed if you have one and see what it does.

I had this exact same thing happen to my old 10000 model. (1st gen PS2)...
The drive might work okay with some other games, but it had problem playing certain DVD games, as well as it rumbled like crazy when I playied RR5. My disc for RR5 ended up being scratched like HELL, and it became unplayable.

Warning. Do not put your Gradius disc again in your PS2 till you get a new one, or even try on someone else's PS2. I think it might be time to get a new PS2, or call the customer service center..
