Maybe want. If it's better done than the Fat Princess chair.

I've never had any issues with the poker room TheSeks, but then I've only played it a couple of times.

Then you're lucky. The game is prone to freezing/glitching on someone and then people sit there for HOURS aruging over who it froze on (generally the lag-switcher) and that person denys it freezing on them and argues it froze on someone else. A modern day "WHO STOLE THE COOKIE FROM THE COOKIE JAR" just for a retarded digital reward.

Yuros get a lot of free Home costumes, Diesel clothes, Star Trek, Watchmen, G.I. Joe, we get a Resistance Retribution, inFamous/Uncharte2 and Patapon t shirts :lol

jsnepo, As of now you cannot.

In other news, apparently the Batcave will be a Home apartment.

There will be a "Batman Arkham Asylum Batcave Outpost Apartment". Apparently, this will be only for PlayStation Home. It will contain items such as the Batsuit, Batmobile, and Batwing, along with various Bat-gadgets. This content on PlayStation Home will be free.

edit: took out the pic. Had nothing to do with home.

Very cool.

They need more gadgets in there. Both accessories to carry in hand (think musical instruments...) and gadgets like the bubble machine (think pets, portable boombox, disco lights, mini RC car/boat for the pond...).

They need to scrap the reality-based design paradigm they've got going-on in Home. It's mundane, boring, and clunky.

Where are the Helghast storm-troopers? Why can't you bring your sackboy into Home as your avatar? Why can't your avatar look like an alien? An anime character?

Why is everything so BORING and CLUNKY in Home?

Isn't the ARG (and most of the spaces that came with it) out of Home by now? As of last week's update I thought it was.

Obviously you have not seen the Helghast costumes around?

But I agree with you in principle. They need to loosen up the animations and stances of the characters. Sitting on the Fat Princess throne should be a relaxed pose not that stupid generic lean forward thing.

They should also inject a solid dose of fantasy items and costmes that are not linked to a game necessarily.

SOE's own Free Realms is doing a great job of this. Dozens and dozens of different items of clothing of each type, for minimal cost and excellent variety. Accessories and pets and all sorts of other things.

The video is up now.

I saw it and got the couch (which actually looks decent). The thing to note however, is that it might not send the notification that you received it.

So when you finish watching the video (just once should be enough) go into your personal space, look for it, and it should be there.

Any word yet on the GI Joe content? That's really going to suck if the US doesn't get the same GI Joe (A Real AMERICAN Hero) freebies as Europe. Honestly, what the f*ck is with that?

I've seen tons of Helghast, a gorilla, snow men, marshmallow man, Hatsune Miku anime-style, anime face masks, etc.

Can you now use voice chat outside of your apartment?

You can connect and voice chat with a friend, no matter where either of you are inside Home. Just use the "Call a Friend" option in your PDA.

If he accepts the call, you're connected to him no matter what either of you are doing. You can even talk during load screens.

I checked out the Burn Zombie Burn space this morning. It's my favorite space yet. Great to that a few zombies have found work in this economy.

Calling all citizens of PlayStation Home!
It’s that time again – and by “that time” I mean “the time where I put the proverbial pen to paper and let you all know what’s coming up next in the rapidly-growing world of PlayStation Home.” I think you’ll be glad to see that – whether you come into Home to game launch with your friends, unlock rewards from your favorite games, or check out free music and video content and socialize – there’s a lil somethin’ somethin’ going on in-world this week that you can get down with.
We know that you Home-dwellers just love your rewards, so we’ve worked with the fine folk over at Eidos to ensure that their next release integrates tightly with our platform. Those of you who scoop up the highly-anticipated Batman: Arkham Asylum for your PLAYSTATION 3s next week will be pleased to see that the game unlocks a special Batcave Outpost personal space. It’s safe to say that hardcore Batman fans are going to seriously spazz out when they unlock Bruce Wayne’s secondary lair under Arkham, so if you count yourself a disciple of the Dark Knight, you’d better rush to get your hands on this title when it is released on August 25th.

Hardcore gamers have yet another reason to enter into the PlayStation Home fold as we will be launching a new game-themed event space specifically to host our MotorStorm: Pacific Rift game launching parties, set to occur every Monday night between 6pm and 10pm PT. This space, which marks the first ever “Globe of Death” to publish in Home, will showcase some rad MotorStorm footage and will serve as a hub for all of you racing fanatics in the Home community to meet and launch into games of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. This event space will be released in conjunction with a bunch of awesome MotorStorm clothes and will only be up for a limited time (though we do have some more surprises for fans of the franchise scheduled to release in the not-so-distant future, so stay tuned to this here blog thingy for more news).

Many core areas of Home will see content updates this week, with new tunes being loaded into the Listen@Home kiosk, new clothes and furniture appearing in the Mall (including animated furniture – this stuff has to be seen to be believed!), and some new videos screening in the Theater. One of these videos, scheduled to go live on Sunday the 16th, is part of the ongoing Criss Angel: Mindfreak event. Much like the Criss Angel: Mindfreak video currently screening in our new 10-Screen Theater, this clip will reward those that dare enter with another exclusive virtual item – this time, a Criss Angel custom coffin table. But you’ll have to come in between the 16th and the 19th if you want this limited item. Those of you who check out this clip will also entered into a giveaway for 1 of 2 Criss Angel: Mindfreak Coffins and 1 of 3 Criss Angel: Burn DVD’s and Book sets (5 winners total).

As a demonstration of the ever-evolving nature of PlayStation Home, there are a few updates scheduled for the EA SPORTS Complex and the Burn Zombie Burn game space. You’ll also see some significant additions to Central Plaza in coming weeks, but you’ll have to keep your eyes on this blog for all the details as they are released. In the meantime, head over to the Listen@Home kiosk and check out our updated events calendar. You’ll see that there is a regularly-occurring event scheduled for every night of every week. Whether it’s a game launching event for Street Fighter IV – or any of the other titles that launch in Home – or an official PlayStation Home forums party (like the one set to go down on Thursday night), there’s truly something for every gamer in-world. And if you want to throw your own event or attend one of the many awesome gatherings our die-hard community members regularly throw, just check out the Clubs and Events sub-forum on www.us.playstation.com.

the MotorStorm (preview?) space is small but nice, the location is MS1 and you get free dirty jeans when you enter ^^
There is also one of these player-controlled jukeboxes with some tracks of the O.S.T.

I'm pretty happy with the JPN Chun-Li alt costume. The hair kinda throws me off because the color is lighter than the other Chun-Li head piece, but oh well. Can't wait until this comes out in the US. ... There still is no S.I.N. Home Space though.

In what sense? The light effect changes?

Am away from my PS3 (and indeed all my consoles) for the next few weeks :(

Also, do we know what the presentation space 'surprise' is?

Never got that pants and I cant access the Presentation Podium. It wont show on the world map.

Presentation Podium?

I thought it was the events space, like how Fat Princess space worked.

Next up, we have the Presentation Podium section of the PlayStation Events Space re-opening its doors – this time hosting content from the forthcoming gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. Check out the brand new mini-game “SHAPE BLAST” (for your chance to win a lovely trophy for your Harbour Studio) and keep an eye on the forums for some more information regarding the footage we’ll be streaming into the space…

Im sure it will be shown on NA Home. Or maybe EU Home only...

US Home maybe?

I was speaking of the PAL region.

btw I finished that shooting-minigame in the presentation podium and got a nice animated trophy for my apartment.
The podium itself was updated too since e3, looks quite nice. I'm impressed with the visuals of home sometimes, i.e. I noticed today that the trailers are reflected in the water, looks great :o

But they really need to implement space/minigame/furniture specific animations for your avatar, looks too sterile (facial animations are needed, too. At least let me run around with a big stupid smile etc. Avatars look lifeless w/o that stuff).
oh and I want to hear my footsteps! At least most spaces have music/ambient sounds to cover that (feels just strange).

I spend some time today in Home to gather the newest free stuff, collected quite an amount already (and I don't even have most of the stuff from the mini games). Visited japanese home after that and you can walk underwater in the third IREM space, complete with a oxygen bar :lol (nice tropical island with fishes, too ^^)

edit: oh that space is new for everyone ^^
pics:

beach_02.jpg

again, they need custom animations :P

btw.: the surprise from the video could be the new Red Bull minigame (not available at the moment), did not noticed anything else.

I can see them perfectly in a TRON like space. Or in our regular spaces if we could change the time of day to night and turn off the lights.

As an aside, is there a good list of freebies somewhere?

lol, that was funny.

Home isnt all that annoying at all, i log in once in a while to check new games, lots of shit added in past few months... Lots of people like hating it for whatever reason, it is funny.

That's weird, my console froze more than 2 times in the Presentation Podium. I don't use Home that often but this has never happened before.

Alright, booted up Home for the first time in ages, and tried out the MS, Resi 2 and InFamous spaces (my PS3 locked up in the InFamous space so couldn't explore it).

¤ Can you win/get any stuff in the R2 space?
¤ When I booted up the MotorStorm Sphere space, I didn't notice the free stuff you get upon entering it. What do/can you get there?

Like Xbox Live? Horrible article. What journalist would write about software without even figuring out the controls? Oh I didn't know how to talk (or hide the chat bar apparently) so I'll just express my disgust over internet fools. (news flash - The internet is full of sex crazy idiots). And why do they always make the ugly monster?

I took a list of the activities that can be performed on US Home the other day. Not too shabby considering it's been under a year and all the activities are free:

Buzz Game (w/ rewards)
Burn Zombie Burn Game (w/ rewards)
Siren Game (w/ rewards)
EA Poker (w/ rewards)
EA Racing (w/ rewards)
EA Golf (w/ rewards)
EA Club DJ (w/ rewards)
Guitar Hero game
Resistance 2 Turret FPS (w/ rewards)
Bowling
Pool
Chess
Uncharted Arcade
Echochrome Arcade (w/ rewards)
Ice Breaker Arcade (w/ rewards)
Train Arcade (w/ rewards)
Xi (w/ rewards)
Saucer Pop
Infamous Lightning Game (w/ rewards)
Infamous Graffiti
FarCry 2 Mancala
Red Bull Air Race

Even if you are not social there are plenty of time wasters.

I agree. And its not even difficult to chat. And there's even a tutorial that guides you through Home and features when you boot up or anytime on demand you can re-do it.

I just thin its "cool" to bash on Home so they do it for the hits.

Both the R2 and inFAMOUS space have 3 items to unlock in the minigames.

Got my free motorstorm jeans and went to the podium event. There's a Home logo looping, some GamesCom flags and an awesome vase which spits out ps face button controller icons :D. Couldn't look any further cause it froze all of a sudden :(.

Just went into Home after getting done gaming before going to bed last night... it had been months since I opened it. Wow! So much more interesting than when it first launched.
