from the video that is linked in here. it doesn't shock me that Epic could get that running in such a short period of time. The world was very limited, and the real detail was in the characters.

You can say the exact same thing for Gears of War scene they shown. "Xenon" (as in devkit, not the final hardware) of course couldn't run it as fast because one X800 doesn't have a chance against 2 SLI'ed 6800s. How much does that say about final hardwares, I don't even care to speculate.

Epic have been saying all along how well it runs on 360 so i really doubt that means it runs at 20fps.

20FPS would be genereous, as he said. 15FPS is more like it, and it was like that even during the scene where not much happened. However, it's the dev kit. Not the final hardware, so noone should be getting their pants in the bunch.

Well for the unreal engine on the ps3, isn't that just a tech demo? Didn't the 360 have an unreal 3 tech demo a long time ago (GDC 2005) and it ran okay? Gears of war is actually a game and has more too it than just showing off the graphics. Tech demo was just meant to show off graphics. Bhere is no game behind it.
