I'm already sick of the PS3 hype.

SHOW ME THE GAMES!

All of the Panajev-speak in the world is useless without pictures of a PS3 Dynasty Warriors.

I assume the announcement will be, "Playstation 3 is coming, Nintendo and Microsoft continue grabbing your ankles. Now here's our Playstation 2 line-up through 2006!"

Why would they show the lineup right now? There's much life left in PS2 right now...

That kind of stuff is reserved mostly for Newsweek and Time. Filter it out, stick to the facts and you should be fine.

Oh, it will be worth all the pie in the sky speculation once Sony comes down from the mount with hardware specs in hand:

Two controller ports
Memory Cards
Dual Shock 3

Then it will be gnashing of teeth and crying over the failed "innovations" of other companies who have failed to lead the market.

Just like the PS2 announcement.

Kaz Hirai: As far as I know, yes. I spoke to [Sony Computer Entertainment Interactive President and CEO] Ken [Kutaragi] a few weeks ago, and that's what he told me.

EGM: What will we see at this debut?

KH: If I told you, I think Kutaragi would take me and you out to the parking lot and shoot us. [Laughs] But, no - joking aside, we've not really talked that much in detail about [the debut], both internally and externally. I can promise that it'll be a huge event.

It says EGM. That's Electronic Gaming Monthly. I can personally confirm it is true and that is a word for word quote from the magazine. Unfortunately, it's against the rules to post a scan or I would.

i am not into hype stuff. and honestly. when sony showed PS2 tech demos [ Ridge Racer girl rikku and GT4 ] and said that this could be done on ps2., and looking @ games like GT4 and MGS3 and the Bouncer. what they said was right. [ forget the PS2 rocket and Saddam buying 4000 PS2 ]

but what they showed as tech demo, more or less it was done on ps2 .


as for what PS3 hype going on. i dont recall Sony said anything about performence of ps3 [ aside from its great beyond what you might expect ] but the shrek 2 quality and these kind of #$#$ wasnt said by Sony ]

so i will wait.

i really cant wait to see X2 and PS3. even tho i am more into Sony console [ do some exclusives like Tekken and Metal Gear Solid ] i also cant wait for Perfect Dark Zero and Halo3 on X2 graphics
