Why do you even need PS1 BC? There are PS1 emulators that run on any potato PC and even smartphones.

Because I own physical PS1 games.

It moreso applies to PS2 and PS3 since I have large collections for those systems, but as you pointed out it can run on a potato so they might as well include PS1, too.

Pretty sure Microsoft have been planning what happened yesterday for a while. There were multiple coordinated videos between Youtubers, Digital Foundry and Eurogamer that all went up roughly at the same time where they were hands on with the console. There were Xbox Wire posts that went up as well, AMD sent out tweets and so did Seagate. Yesterday was very much planned in advance. All folks involved were guaranteed under embargo until yesterday. What Sony is doing is literally their GDC conference. They've stated as much already. They likely have chosen to time it for tomorrow and Microsoft doing what they did was simply a coincidence.

I bet Microsoft's showing had/has no impact on them showing what they are showing tomorrow. Microsoft clearly coordinated with many companies and media folks yesterday. This is simply Mark doing his GDC presentation. Pretty sure the timing is littler more than coincidental.

Can't happen on subsidised hardware. Ms expects people to buy games and sub to Live to offset the cost of this thing. Otherwise business will buy it out as generic PC because of the low cost vs performance and MS will lose out.

Edit: They could do a business edition. Throw in display & kb/mouse and charge $1k+ for it. Still may be a good deal.

If you think carefully if ps5 is weak on announcement but still gonna sale more due Sony will support to it more with exclusive library than Microsoft doing on their Xboxes (like staying hell silent on 3 years and telling their will be new games but instead a gamepass, literal children's sandbox that you need to dig more for games to play)

I don't think it is a reveal at all.

It is just Cerny talking about what PS5 has inside for GDC... it will be very technical... so specs will come easy but box, controller, games, etc won't.
