This just seems completely infantile though. Not that it would justify it but it's not as if they've done something that is difficult to do, being able to hack something at least demonstrates some sort of ability in the person that does it even if it's only empty nerd skills but a DDoS demonstrates nothing at all.
If you feel the need to do it then there are sites out there that belong to people who are doing some pretty terrible things to the world and it may actually benefit some real people to have those websites taken down for a while.
Anyway, back to what I was doing.

There are measures that can lessen the impact of a DDOS attack, from my understanding they are mostly focussed on dropping bad requests/packets with as little processing as possible.

Probably true, when I was in Iraq our nipr went down. So we couldn't communicate to any other of our fobs. Turn out a ship split the wire in the ocean causing a massive error.

I'm chill, I just find the statement to be asinine. Why come for the gaming companies with these stupid ass attacks when far worse things need exposure. Net neutrality is a big deal right now and instead of them fighting for the people's rights , they'd rather take down things that people work hard to afford.
