PSN connection problems (12/24)

Are you sure? Because thats not something that happens. Your offline trophies sync online when you sync up.

Also yeah I'm online now.

Yeah not a single trophy in my list. It's like the game never existed. Same with lbp3 which I bought and played during the outage.

Edit: maybe it's still syncing, but I kinda doubt it.

Also none of it shows up in recent activities. Wth

Ontario here. I have some form of connectivity on PS4 as it actually tries to load the friends list, but I still can't sync trophies - which is the only thing I've wanted to do during this whole outage.

Vita's working fine. Haven't tested PS3.

Can anyone get on PS4 in New England? I've been pretty calm throughout this whole thing mostly because I've been very busy with work but now seeing that almost every one else is on, including people in New York down the road, and Sony is saying all three systems are online I'm starting to get pretty fucking mad.

This thing is throwing an error code at me that doesn't even exist on the PS4 error code page.

It's working for me in Jersey

My Vita says I'm signed into PSN in the settings but it won't sign in inside any game or the Friends app. I don't get this. I just want to see if Remote Play even WORKS, but I can't rule out the Vita connection as a problem yet, let alone the the PS4 1000 miles away.

I'm in the Boston area, and I can't get on (PS4).

I'm in RI. No PSN yet...

Your Ip address might be on their ddos mitigation providers blacklist temporarily for now.

Might not be your fault if you are on a dynamic Ip, just wait it out.

I was able to get into Destiny and many other games online (DriveClub, GTA V, Assassins Creed Unity)... I was booted once from Destiny's servers but PSN seems to be working normally for me

I'm on in MA.

Hah, the ddos attacks actually broke the ps+ requirement for multiplayer. I was able to participate in 2 online races in Driveclub last night but that seems to have been resolved now.

Try turning PS4 off, unplugging it. Then unplug your router, wait 2 minutes, replug your router, let it fully turn on, then turn your PS4 on.

so I just setup my new KDL50w700B Sony Bravia HD TV to test out some battlefield 4 since the input lag on the set is suppose to be very low compared to other 2014 sets and of course PSN is down again noooo.

I'm in NH, and I've been on for at least 2-3 hours now. Logged into FFXIV at last.

Sorry you're still having issues though... I'm assuming you tried rebooting your PS4 since they said it was up?

Indianapolis, everything works.

Connected to PSN, friends list is working, Store is working, looked like things are getting ironed out..

I haven't tried all day because my kids have been playing Skylanders Trap Team, so I don't know how long it's been working....

It's Sony's business to keep their network secure (the network we now pay for). DDOS attack is hardly a new thing and it's definitely not a new thing to Sony yet they are still falling for it. So, yeah, Sony should absolutely be called out for this as it's been ongoing for days and days now.

This is some twisted logic. A DDOS attack cannot be prevented, it can be slightly mitigated by Sony, I'm certain both MS & Sony had preventative measures in place, but ultimately a DDOS cannot be stopped. Stop blaming companies for the actions of assholes

Sony uses a world leader for their DDoS mitigation, and this still happened. It is impossible to prevent a DDoS attack from having a noticeable effect, especially when the attack is over a certain size. Not Google, not Twitter, not Amazon can stop a large attack from degrading the end-user experience. Some handle it better than others - like the ones who are in the business of providing hosting, but this isn't a simple "throw money at it" issue.

From Puerto Rico here; just came back home and still no PSN on my PS4. My friend could get online and is playing Destiny. I don't have any issues getting online on my PS3 though.

Just got done playing bf4 on ps3. I was playing for a few hours before I got bored. I also downloaded some free avatars and everything seemed to work fine. In central California btw.

Now that the store is up and running has anyone tried to redeem their free movie from the Pick Your Present christmas eve email?

Guys, is YouTube working on the PS4? I can't seem to load the app up, after the YouTube sign when I click on the app, I just get am empty dark screen.
