PSN connection problems (12/24)

Wait. I can't even play Far Cry 4 in story mode? Wonderful.

EDIT: I guess I can. It was the Ubi services that couldn't connect.
 
Uhh. Did anon and finest squad really just take the Lizard Squad botnet down? Cause if yes the dystopian cyperpunk future is occurring faster then expected.
 
Me and my brother have to share an account for our games. I've lost access to all my digital games. I was able to restore my licenses yesterday, but have to do it again, only no server to do that today. Is this normal with shared accounts?

Yeah, if you aren't the primary there needs to be an online connection to verify the licenses for game bought through your account. So every time psn goes down all the games i bought to share with my brother are no longer accessible.
 
I've basically gone all digital with my PS4 because it's so much easier to not have to change discs or make my way to a store. I had just bought MGSV: Ground Zeroes, Peggle 2, and Dragon Age: Inqusition in the sales and I had the new Driveclub expansion so I just knew I was in for good times this weekend, but now I find out that my digital copies won't work offline.

But this affected me another way as well. I was using Music Unlimited for a chrismas playlist for my family and it just cut off this afternoon and from there on out we had no mood music. I hope it comes back up soon.

It's true there's tonnes of stuff to do. But to think that other people out there are purposely screwing over someone's holiday makes people want to share their story with others. And check to see development on the situation.
 
Yep, unless the next gen of consoles are similar to right now, them being always online is gonna backfire if their services keep getting hammered like this.

They should work offline though? Just make sure you sign out of PSN

similar, my kid wants some EA packs for NHL15 that he just got for xmas, he has been trying all day as the promotion expires tonight.

I hoped to buy it for him before going to bed but not looking like that will happed

I was looking forward to finally play Wolf Among Us, I guess I'll have to wait another day to buy it...

Did they say when the store will be back online for europe?
 
I don't think it really matters where you are, as long as you are in a country getting hit. If you get on, it's pure luck it seems (based on that post about the doorbells).
 
At least I got on PSN last night, on PS4, tried GTA Online, and saw everything covered in snow.

PSN is currently down for me in the northern Chicago suburbs. 10:20 PM Central Time.
 
I tried loading TLOU Remastered earlier, no dice. It's like the only game I care for on the system currently so this sucks that my Christmas gift is a paperweight.
 
Urgh, still going on, I haven't been able to get online for over 24hrs now, I can't even watch now TV on my PS4 in the bedroom this morning as it has the locked symbol next to it.

Was able to buy and download yesterday. When I started it the second time later on it was giving a black screen. Ticked the Network connection off from Network settings and the game started for me.
