I like how they are talking like the games are already out in the trailer.

I imagine that at Sony's E3 press conference we will see alot (and I suspect there will be alot) of announcements.
But I'm interested to see what bigger PSN games Sony are working on that aren't online multiplayer only ie, SOCOM: Confrontation etc.

But what's interesting to me is that the PSN's original game content seems to spilt into two 'tiers'. Smaller titles like FLOW, Super Rub-a-Dub and larger gaming experiences like SOCOM:Confrontation and Gripshift.

I just hope that Sony will have teams like Factor 5, Insomniac and Naughty Dog working on larger, more expansive content for PSN rather than just some 'fluff'.




What rumours where they? I don't really keep up to date with 1up.com other than their podcasts.

Back on 1upyours in February, they couldn't talk about it but said that they knew of some 'pretty major' projects for PSN games, and that they really liked the direction Sony were going. I think they discussed the Team ICO rumour too.

Oh yeah, I remember that. Didn't Shane a few months ago drop that Team Ico's PSN project would be an online enabled, multiplayer variaiton of SOTC. Again, a smaller project to tide over the fans of Team Ico while they continue to work on their next big, 'AAA' project for the PS3.

Well I suspect that Sony will well and truly shoot their announcement wad at E3 with Team Ico stuff likely at TGS.

Though to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if SOCOM:Confrontation turns out to be one of the games they were 'talking' about.

Yeah, he did. Very casually...I was like WTF? and then he just went on. Co-op SOTC on PS3 would be amazing. I'd be excited just to see it with next-gen graphics.

That's very true. So quiet in fact, it almost seemed to pass by GAF almost all together.

But I wouldn't have thought the game would be remade from the ground up for the PS3. It's more likely that the game will just be a 'high res' port of the PS2 version with a blast from the spice weasel.

Which is fine by me. SOTC passed me by and I'd love a next gen chance to get stuck into it.

Which is slightly ironic given the fact that at least one of the 'ways to enjoy PSN' they list is available in every region except Europe.
