Seems Disc 1 and 3 of a copy of Fear Effect I bought aren't recognized by my ps2. Says Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc. I tried cleaning it, opened the ps2 and fixed the lazer a while ago so that it worked on some of my old games. Now what, it looks like a real psx disc. black bottom, logo's and title, art on the top....
What should I do next?

1. test it out on a PSone or another PS2 (if possible)

2. refund (if possible)

3. it sounds like its your PS2 that isn't working.
