PSP and Pelican Face Armor

I just got a PSP today with Hot Shots Golg Open Tee .... I love the PSP and I am planning on buying something to protect the screen. Does anybody has any experience with the Pelican Face Armor ?

Here is the link for the Face Armor

FACE ARMOR

Any opinions will be appreciated.

I had that face armor and liked it a lot. It very pretty well except I had a problem with one of the screws that attaches it to the PSP coming loose.

I like the fact that when you change games you can just grab the PSP with wild abandon and not worry about the screen (unlike, say, the Logitech case).

Anwway, I recently got this screen protector at the recommendation of one of the forum members (thanks!)

Except for the fact I suck at putting these kinds of products on without getting dust on the sticky side, I think that'll do it for my PSP screen protection needs. Screen clarity is excellent and it actually overlaps the screen.

I've got the face armor, and I have a screw that comes loose too, but that's actually a PSP defect rather than a problem with the face armor. The "open" latch actually goes right under the right screw hole. If you screw it in too tight, the open switch doesn't work properly. If you screw it in loosely enough to keep the open latch working, the screw will work its way loose.

That said, I love the face armor. :)

Hmm, I tried screwing/unscrewing loose/tight and couldn't get it to bite. I figured I stripped the threads :(

Ahh, I was wondering why the latch wasn't working properly. Other than that the faceplate is nice. Less worries about damaging the screen.

Thank you all for the replies, I got the face armor yesterday and it does the work of protecting the screen while not in use.

I got this on the day I got my PSP. Best purchase you can make. The 1st face I got wouldn't screw all the way in on the left side. I exchanged it and the 2nd one worked just fine. Keeps the dust and scratches off of the screen, and aside from the Pelican logo on the inside, it looks like it should be a part of the system out of the box. Forget buying screen films that dull the screen, just buy this.

I wish that the material of the Face Armor was like the back of the PSP, that way you don't leave all your fingerprints all over the cover, but it's easier to clean them from the cover than from the PSP.
