yep, and 81 people decided they'd spend 500 to get it just a week early. I think Sony is shooting theirself in the foot by selling the PSP for so cheap. Look at what people are willing to spend on it.. I understand it's for charity and all, but still...

It's a charity, so I don't think people were expected to pay MSRP and that's it... And breaking into a new market (for them), they really needed another "$299" style announcement to get people excited.

It only came out to ~$500 bucks for a limited edition PSP, so I'm surprised it wasn't higher.

I'll bet it goes for higher than that once the system is actually released and it's an instant sellout in like 5 minutes.

I heard that Sony are going to run a similar charity auction for themselves so they can actually sell them at a profit. All proceeds to SCEI - keep GT4 on track!
