I have 4 on my PSP, all in the same genral area, close to the left side. I was wondering, i cant notice them during FIFA, but they're there when the screen goes black, so here are my questions:

-Should I return it?
-Is it covered by Best Buys 30 day policy (the lady said it was)

First off, if you see them during the black loading screen, then they are not DEAD pixels. They are most likely stuck ones.

Should you return it? If they bother you during gameplay then why not? And why are you asking if it is covered by Best Buy policy, when you already know?

Take it back. But be prepared to go through three or four of them before getting an acceptable unit. I love the system, but the lack of quality control from Sony is a little disconcerting, so much, in fact, that I wrote a song about it:

How long ago did you buy it? If it's in the last week and it's bothering you just turn it in for an exchange w/o using your warrany. Total waste of $40 since it should still be covered by the initial exchange policy. When i did my exchange(s) at Best Buy they had to reinput the serial numbers so my replacement plan carried over.

Personally i took back 2 before i got mine. One was for a sticking square button (also had 1 dead pixel but it wasn't a problem), the second i took back because it had 2 dead pixels almost touching each other so it drew my eye to them and was pretty noticable.

Nah, Best Buy will take it back. I know from experience.
