PSP graphics aren't *that* good

If they were eyeballing it, I'd take that with a boulder of salt ;)
I can observe relative differences between higher and lower poly stuff quite well, but trying to eyeball actual polygon count on screen is not something I'd be willing to risk betting money on.

The other reason why I think it's low is because what is considered "safe" zone for PSP polys on screen is a fair bit higher then that. But admitedly they were working on stupidly tight schedule so who knows what concessions they had to make...

And my TV/VGA tests were on the devkit yeah. For retail unit I don't know any other way right now save for coding the application to stream video out over USB or Wifi.
 
Hmm...So when outputing to a TV through a USB, the Media Engine is "also working"...Then PSP becomes a trully power sucker !
