You'd need some perfect distribution to have 100% sold in one day.Broshnat said:And why didn't it sell out even with so few games available?!!
:lol
Isn't that what pre-orders are for?JoshuaJSlone said:You'd need some perfect distribution to have 100% sold in one day.
and who's fault is that?ManaByte said:Uh, because Nintendo shipped more units than Sony?
That's for reasons beyond demand. As evidenced by the retarded eBay prices, Sony could have shipped a million units yesterday and still come up woefully short. The lack of total sell-through is strange, but probably easily explained. I can't imagine anyone would let normally-priced PSPs just sit around on shelves when they could make a handsome profit reselling them online. PEACE.Isn't that what pre-orders are for?
Even so, not even a 90% sellthrough...

PSPs launch was awesome..... so they need something to bitch about!
So sad :lol

1) I'm incredibly surprised that retailers didn't force software bundles down people's throats for this launch. If you're going to have a 100% sellout no matter what, why not create 2 or 3 game bundles?

Par for the course for Capcom. How long until a bigger developer eats them up? Any bets?![]()
nubbe said:I sure hope Nintendo's management come to their senses and pick up Capcom.
Capcom would be beneficial for Nintendo's portable sector now since they have some popular franchises. They would also add more T and up content to their home consoles and make their offerings more diversified.
Capcom franchises would also get a much more refined feel with a little help from the Nintendo Magic
Capcom also have some great anime series build from their franchises which would help Nintendo when they continue to extend themselves in the home entertainment sector.

Tetris was a fluke.explodet said:Hmm, not much love for Lumines - perhaps puzzlers just don't have as much clout as they did in the Game Boy/Tetris days.
And off-topic: Wario > Mario
I bet a game like Tetris on GB would've been far less popular if it had to compete with decent 1989 equivalents of the DS and PSP launch games.evilromero said:Tetris was a fluke.
You mean like Super Mario Land, Alleyway, Baseball, Golf and Tennis? Game Boy had a pretty solid launch actually.JoshuaJSlone said:I bet a game like Tetris on GB would've been far less popular if it had to compete with decent 1989 equivalents of the DS and PSP launch games.
Other than Alleyway, those are pretty much games that were able to be done much better at home. As a puzzle game, though, it translated to portable as well as anything could. Forward 15 years, though, and while Tetris would still be essentially the same game, Super Mario Land would become Super Mario 64 DS, and Golf would become Everybody's Golf, making them much more attractive in comparison. I haven't followed Lumines much, but it sounds like it's the closest thing to a Tetris equivalent, with a big spraycan of flash covering it.jarrod said:You mean like Super Mario Land, Alleyway, Baseball, Golf and Tennis? I wonder if they`re gonna bother releasing it outside of Japan.
