I'm trying to load up afew MP3 into my PSP using my new cable, but I could be doing it wrong. I lost my book so I don't know if I am doing something wrong. Can mp3 be loaded? Or is it just mp4s..... if so Sony has lost a cool point.. afew cool points.

Yes, the PSP can play mp3 files. Just drag them into the the folder titled MUSIC which should have been created when the memory stick was formatted via the PSP.

Nope, there was no folder so I treated like making ROM folders... not saying I know anything about ROMs.... I'll shutup now. Thanks for your help. I was naming the music. Not MUSIC.

yes you can load mp3s. Format your memory stick with PSP and put the music under PSP/MUSIC folder.

Yeah. Just backup any gamesaves or anything else you have on the memory stick(if any) and then go to Settings/System Settings/then scroll down to the fourth option entitled "format Memory Stick" and then select it. It will create a folder entitled PSP with four folders inside of it. One of them is entitled MUSIC. Just drag your mp3's into there.
