I haven't seen ANYONE bring this up yet -- the game "Loco Roco" from an internal Sony team is being demoed in the back of the PSP area, and it's pretty frickin dope. You play this blob thing and tilt the playfield with the R and L buttons, and can make the blob thing jump by pressing and releasing L+R. Very clean graphics, really slick dynamics on your blob-sperm-looking dude, very stylish little game. I think you can download the full demo to your PSP, too.

But yeah, it is awesome. The downloadable demo crashed on my PSP. I don't think it likes "fake" 2.0 firmware. I played it at the stand anyway, and was very impressed with both its handling and its cuteness.

I don't think demos are allowed to download onto memorystick. They use gamesharing, I presume, and that only allows the shared content to be loaded into memory. It's gone as soon as you turn off the PSP.

Yeah, it does look a lot like Gish in terms of gameplay. But I think it looks incredibly fun, and I'm in love with the art.

It was quite fun at the show, although the way the jumping worked was slightly annoying at first (plus you can't get *quite* enough rotation on the screen for my liking). I couldn't get the demo to download myself (I couldn't get ANY demo to download due to congestion and my lack of patience).

Agreed, I don't normally like the niche games like Katamari, but this looks incredibly cute! I hope it comes out for PStwooo or 3 or something as I don't have any handhelds ;\

This game reminds me of Elastomania, where you rode a 2D motorcycle, remember that one?

Those spiky things, pretty much exactly like the ones in elasto, the level design, with the 'ramp', just like in elasto.. the fast pace on some segments etc etc. The concepts the same alright, if they would be labeled as a type of puzzle game they would definately end up in the same one. This looks more innovative though, it's an idea snatched right off, but the similarities are somewhat astounding

Anyways, something good have to come out of this post... You all seem to like Loco Roco, then try Elastomania out, the demo has a number of free levels, so go dl.
