PSP Mobile Media Maker

Has anyone used this software? It looks like it can do exactly what I want to do. I want to be able to put in a DVD and hit a button and the software spits out a PSP video file. As far as I know all other software requires the DVD to be ripped to the HD first then converted to PSP video.

Thanks for the info!

Here's the link to the software's website.

I've used it... It works as advertised, which is good for dummies, but the output is not nearly as good as I can get by doing it all myself.

I rip a DVD into one big VOB file using DVD Decrypter, Use Auto-GK to convert the VOB to an AVI file & then run it through 3GP for PSP conversion.

It looks good when it's all said & done, though it took a lot of trial and error to find a great set of options and to finalize my ini file for 3GP.

Edit: This process takes about 4 hrs per 2 hr movie (maybe 5-10 mins of actual work by me... the rest is CPU time), so it's not really *that* much longer than the Mobile Media Maker Software (which transcodes in real time more or less). The results certainly are better if you do it yourself.

Could you PM me or post your configurations to get the best picture out of the PSP?

I'm at work & I have that stuff at home... You can surely goggle 3GP Transcoding.ini to find billions of people who have figured out great options.

Yeah, I'm a dipshit at this stuff.

I'm amazed it works at all, considering how annoying the whole process is. Sony should have done a better job with it, but I guess they want to sell UMD movies, so we should be glad it's possible at all.
