"I don't think I've ever had a Kikizo movie download. And I'm in the UK. Sort it out Doree!"
Only ever hear this from very few. All can suggest is disconnect, reconnect to change IP. Otherwise, fucked. Soz.
"I appreciate all the work that went in on encoding all them videos, but why oh why did you encode them @ 640x360?!? If I want to see them big, I'd have them run @ 200% after I downloaded them. Now even @ 100%, you have this 1.5x interpolation on the videos that looks horrid! ARRRGGGHHH!"
Really don't get this. Why not encode at that size/rez? No lossyness. More detail. No enlargement of source video. What is the problem with the size here?!
"How are they able to get direct feed videos?"
They aren't. Just good video (so I thought) with no shake and direct audio.
"Yeah, your videos are pretty terrible. You should work at adjusting the codec settings."
No. Maybe. Most can play these perfectly, based on feedback. The first person to suggest better codec encoding, it shall be welcomed. Has not happened. Good PC + ideally WMP10 + fuck knows some kind of magic = perfect result with the 60fps vids on kkz. Have tried really hard but don't understand conflicts with this, for the minority, with playback problem.
"All they have to do is encode the videos @ 100% of the source's native resolution. They would have looks great."
No, this is not the issue here and not related, surely??
... Zoom has nothing to do with playback...
"I swear, some of your are blind. Or illiterate. Or both."
?
"anyone got a video of DS RR for comparision"
LOL
"Awesome vids...really can't see what people are whining about "
Naturally, I agree with this. What is the problem?
Source = DV widescreen mode, df audio
Editing = DV widescreen, nothing altered
Encoding = fair size rez nothing changed in ratio, 60fps to keep motion in WMV (only way identified to work since WMV, far as we can tell, offers progressive = 60).
All I can suggest to anyone with playback problems is the same to anyone playing any Kikizo vids that are encoded at WMV 60fps; try WMP10 and a well specced PC. Not to insult those who are already doing these things. I am as keen to learn about where any probs may lie as any anyone - but don't get the problem here.
Out of interest, those with playback issues, please try playing the DF Tekken 5 vids on the site; if they work well then these should, if not, well WTF, there is more to learn here.
