PSP Socom headset = $19.99 (11/5)

You know...I really wished my PS2 Headset worked for SOCOM 3. Do we know what is causing this problem yet? Or a way to fix it?

I hear it is a problem with firewalls on your router, (or firewall software). Try opening up the proper ports via port forwarding.

Then I do not know. I don't have the game, but a coworker does. He came to me for help when he read on (presumably) the Socom website that you need to open up certain ports in your firewall software or router settings in order to get the headset to work probably. I could help him a bit in this since I had to learn how to do this to speed up my bt downloads. But I don't know the full details about this headset problem.

my headset for socom 2 didnt work until they released a patch for it...about 4 months after release date...

I hope it's not that long. God only knows if I'll still be playing Socom 3 in four months. The game was quite a few problems to take care of so hopefully they can have a patch out in November.

This is some serious star trek s#!t
I wouldn't have even dreamed about this back when I was playing my collecovision!
Sitting at Starbucks or McDonalds and playing SOCOM with my brother 3000 miles away and talking to him for FREE!

GTA is the Ad-Hoc mutliplayer king on the PSP.

SOCOM will be the online king.

Have you played the Beta? Because unless they really turn it around, I'm going to have to ask you not to insult GTA like that.

Well I didn't really enjoy the Socom II beta and the game turned out to be great. I didn't really like the Socom III beta too much either and the game turned out great. I kinda dig the Fireteam Bravo beta - just a blast killing fools while I am on the crapper. From previous experience I expect the final release to be much better as well so we'll have to wait and see.

i'm in the same boat as you, except i kinda liked the socom 2 beta :P

Fireteam Bravo's only weakness was lack of commuication, and this headset will easily fix that. the auto-targetting might scare some socom veterans but i thought it was handled pretty well

I am the only one who fears being in a Starbucks while some asshole 12 year old screams at the top of his lungs at his team mates? It's a cool idea, but one that may only help make kids like the Chocolate Milk RS3 kid portable....Fuck. I hate this idea.

Isn't there a way to trick Ad-Hock only games to go online and connect with other PSP users? I remember hearing about it when the PSP first came out...
