PSP WLAN help

OK I got my new PSP and I have been playing and having fun. But today I tried to go and try a network update just to see what it would do. It says that I need to turn on the WLAN switch. Well I don:t know what the hell it is talking about. I don:t really know anything about setting up a network. So what is it asking for? When I do through the network connection setup option within the PSP I don:t understand what they are asking me to do. Is there somebody out there that know what I should do to get it working? Thanks.

I have no idea how the PSP works here but apparantely you have to connect through a wireless hub of some sort. When you go to the screen you'll see various wireless hubs and how strong your connection is from them. Select the strongest ones and try to connect if it's not a protected line.

On the bottom left of the unit, there is a switch, like the power switch. When it is up, WLAN is on, when it is down, WLAN is off. Simple as that.

<reminds self that most people still do not read their damn manuals....>

... nor apparently do they follow all the previews that mention the switch right on the PSP that turns network functionality on and off....

Listen dood, the manual is in full Japanese and I can;t understand enough Japanese to get the details of that tech talk in the book. Also, I tried to look for a threat about the PSP WLAN but found nothing, so sue me for not living here like a nerd all my life.

Yes, yes, yes... I'm the nerd... but you bought a japanese product where you can't read the manual..... gotcha. I'm just curious... you haven't followed any of the previews at IGN or Gamespot? The switch has been mentioned countless times.

<wonders how he can point out that anyone who spends any time in this forum has nerd leanings....>

<wonders why he's typing in third person....>

all you have to do is get within a 5 mile range of a missile silo. it should hijack the systems automatically and give you access to the launch controls.
