PSSR vs DLAA

Actually, trying to be on topic (I know, I know), in terms of AA there's at least one game on PS5 that uses FSR2.2 Native for AA and that's Red Dead Redemption. That game looks smooth AF at 4k.

Kupfer Kupfer Good call on the 20-25 for baguettes, it's looking pretty good.

Gonna let this cool down a bit then I'm making a sandwich. Smells awesome.
I'm glad I could help you. Your baguette looks really well made. What will you eat it with? Enjoy!

Sandwich pictures please. I don't eat bread anymore, but I sure like looking at pictures of it. Especially sandwiches. Heavenly, Heavenly, sandwiches.

This thread is better?
Well it had some effort put into it at least, even though ChiefDada ChiefDada does get carried away with things

U wanna know something funny ?

I don't even know what is DLAA.

I have always used DLSS on quality and be done with it.

Is DLAA a better version upscaler ?

Like if I have the option to use either ona 4090. Which one to go for ? I always see DF talk about dlss in general but nothing DLAA
DLAA handles anti-aliasing with a focus on visual quality, if you're use to using Quality mode with DLSS, try DLAA. I'm sure you will be quite impressed.

Does PSSR do native to native? or is it just for upscaling?

Looks great, makes me want to make one of those:

Add some cured cheese in there and oh boy.
Oh shit, that's a done deal. Just got some cherry tomatoes from the garden. Little bit of spicy mustard, and that's about to be my lunch. Bread's just gotta cool for another few min…

DLSS Quality is 67% of the native image. It upscales from 1440p internal and makes it look like 4k.

DLAA is 100% so it applies AA on top of the native image.
I see. I like the simple explanation to the point. Ty

Though that's something I'll probably never use as I want as much frames as possible without lowering the image quality from native by much or at all. So I'll stick to DLSS unless I am playing Tetris

lol, that was a cracker but at least he attempted to actually provide some (very poor) comparisons.

Added some balsamic, olive oil, tiny bit of ground mustard, and cracked pepper.

Thanks for lunch, GAF!

Just the thread Gaf needed

This thread is better?
This isnt an "either or" type of thing, two threads can simultaneously stink. 😁

You know when you get unexpectedly invested in something and it goes exactly how you hoped it would go even though you had never imagined the scenario?

This is that thread bread

This is why we shouldn't let Canadians have the ability to create threads on GAF.
I don't know why he keeps posting about upscalers in my sandwich thread 🤷

Speaking of, that bread looks perfect for one of my favorites. Meatloaf sandwich.

First start with a great slab of meatloaf. Take the bread, add olive oil, a little sea salt, and fresh garlic. Bake until crispy. Remove from oven, butter heavily, and depending on what you like, you can add some ketchup, or if you just so happened to have some mashed potatoes on hand, slather that on both pieces as well. Add some green onions, and you've got yourself a king of sandwiches.

Oh damn that sounds amazing. I've never made meatloaf before, got a good recipe? Sounds like a good weekend dinner.

Try it with older last gen games just to see. It's surprisingly good. Gives them that downsampled look.

I actually don't. The wife is the one who makes it lol. One key to the whole process I failed to mention, is that after you make, and cook your meatloaf, its ideal to let it cool down(I usually make this with leftovers)and then set it in the fridge. After its cold, I cut it to fit the sandwich, and slice it about an inch thick, then fry the meatloaf in butter on a cast iron skillet until it gets crispy on the edges, caramelizing the meat a little.

Man I'm making myself hungry.

Wondering if PS5 pro will beat this level of IQ…

... I mean... no...

DLAA levels of quality would mean running at native 4k and then using PSSR for anti-aliasing only. which barely a game will be able to do.

for anything else they will use it to upsample to 4k, anything else would be a bit dumb

Maybe GT7 8K mode running on a 4K counts as a competitor to DLAA, if it uses 4K as a native resolution.
