Purple forum trying to cancel SloClap (SiFu/Rematch) for X following of J.K Rowling

Reeee impotently boycotts everything.

There's a sticky on their forum about boycotting Xbox because Microsoft is supposedly 'complicit in genocide'.

Just ignore them.
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

It's like creating a boycott of Blackberry phones back in 2013. What's next a PS Vita boycott. That'll learn 'em ๐Ÿ˜‚

Do they celebrate ever monthly Xbox sales update? We showed 'em boys!

This is a great marketing move by SloClap. Follow JK Rowling. Have Resetera meltdown. Have the rest of the world buy the game to show solidarity. Profit!

We might complain, throw shade and clown on woke games. Even gleefully laugh at the misfortune of derpy developers/journalists. But those purple people almost drool over the prospect of getting people cancelled and ruining their lives because they hold different beliefs/views. On top of that you need to pass constant purity tests when broaching certain topics or risk being banned over there.

Imagine if someone started a thread here, in good faith, stating that they love Dustborn and all it stands for. Then getting immediately banned for promoting wrong-thoughts, like wtf. As long as you can handle getting laughed at (and don't have a mental breakdown because of it) you won't get banned for glazing a game.

I mean if anyone enjoys Veilguard, I'm happy for you. You have no fucking taste whatsoever and your parents are deeply, deeply, ashamed of you, but it's your money/time so enjoy whatever you want. โค๏ธ

The moment we start having a list over games that can't be named, like they do, I'm out. That's some pure facist behaviour IMO and I enjoy my dictatorship (aka NeoGaf) free of that shit. ๐Ÿ˜

Sad to see that ResetEra actually have a basis for their strong paranoia. I thought they are being hypersensitive about well disguised troll threads. I read your thread over at Era and I could not tell at all that you were trolling.

Sad to see GAF members purposefully go there and rage bait fellow gamers.
After years of walking on eggshells on that site, I just got tired of it and made that thread in hopes to get banned and it worked.

If you attempt to have any sort of sound and logical conversation that doesn't align with their views, you get a ban. Got tired of that shit.

So this is where nextlander is getting their bull shit from. God, these people are so exhausting. They bring up this boycott bull shit on nextlander every fucking time they mention a microsoft or bethesda thing...oh, but we'll still talk about it.

They pick and choose their fights so stupidly...you'd think actual "genocide" was worse than someone saying men should not be allowed in a woman's bathroom.
I like Vinny and Brad but they have to stop getting their news from this shit website. But sadly all these 'journalists' still do.

DONT WORRY MY FRIENDS ARM THE SPIRIT OF GAMING I WILL CRUSH WOKED PURPLE

I honestly never understood all the drama over simply following someone on Twitter or other social media.
If you are retweeting or liking their "problematic" posts that's one thing, but just following? It doesn't really mean you are endorsing everything they say or even that you like them (not that I thin Rowling has said anything particularly wrong)

Funny how X is banned on those forums but they still find ways to talk about it and post screenshots.
Same as every subreddit that banned Twitter. FFXIV Reddit made a huge deal about the ban but less than a month later they're all reposting Twitter posts about Magic the Gathering's Final Fantasy cashgrab :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Like lots of people follow Trump and Musk who don't agree with them.

I understand that.

I got temp banned so many times there for very loose reasoning.

GAF and Era used to be one community. And I still care for my fellow gamers.

No keep em coming. I think these ERA threads are highly entertaining and a good example to see how absurd and unsustainable their zealous nonsense is. No wonder they're bitter and exhausted and angry all the time. Imagine having to keep a Stasi-style cheat sheet on every game company to check before you buy a game. Has anyone in this 500 people team said something "problematic"?

Nothing will happen. People are more prone to laugh at this shit by now so it's just entertainment. They're silly.

This is the 1st reply in that thread :

Now that is interesting. Do you have any sources or links for that?

I never thought the day would come for that.

I don't really go there anymore but there's been cases where I can't help but peak at their take on this or that shit storm.

I went to see during the stellar blade controversy and the admin bdubbs have made a long post drawing a line in the sand that they are not going to ban the game or be cool with attacking people trying to enjoy the game. Interesting because it would have been so much easier to bully stellar than Hogwarts or cp. But reading between the lines, it was evident to that the considered those mistakes and were trying to take the reigns back.

The problem is they were afraid that displeased members could take to Twitter and cancel the site, but that's not as scary as it used to be in peak woke.
