WAAAY blown up... still I'm hoping on this possibly being a good title....

Wow! That looks pretty cool. I agree, it's games that look like this that have me excited about the PSP and a new era in handheld gaming.

Really? That's very good to hear... are there any estimated completion/release dates yet?

I visited the BIG BIG Studios a few months ago (two times at all).
Release date? Well, fall/winter 2005

Yet another thread where everyone splooges over the graphics capability of the PSP. Let me ask you, does the game actually look appealing to any of you OUTSIDE of the visuals?

On PS2 or Xbox, this game would be laughed at for it's generic character design and it's 'I wanna be like GTA/True Crime/The Getaway' vibe.

Except the game isn't like those games.

The game just sounds fun from the short descriptions that have came out on it. And is it really so bad to like the graphics in the game? Or are people not allowed to praise PSP game graphics?

No, not at all. I just can't understand why there are people on here (who generally have good taste in games) getting excited over some random, generic, game. It just happens to be on PSP which is getting loads of hype right now I guess.

Right now, about the only thing we have to go on for this game is the graphics, which you have to admit look pretty nice for a handheld system. Now, if down the line, when we start to hear a lot more about this game, it could easily be terrible, despite the way it looks. But this isn't the firs time that we've gotten excited over a game based on the graphics in the early screenshots. I'll even venture it won't be the last either...

I agree -- and like I've said before, it looks like a $14 bargan bin game ..... but handhelds are certainly judged by a different standard - that isn't yet defined now that they can support 3d...

GBA had it easy -- Metroid Zero Mission was a pretty game on every level --- but nobody questioned it, since GBA was the only offering of 2d in this last generation.

It looks good, but it looks like a standard console experience. A game that would get 7s on the PS2 and will get 9s on the PSP becase it's AMAZING FOR THE HANDHELD.

ok I just read the description of the game and it sounds pretty cool. I like the concept of jumping on the cars during high speed chases.

That looks pretty damn cool. Seems like it would be better as a console game though.

Once a game comes along thats graphically superior to other games released in the same span of time, it sets the bar for others to reach and surpass. i've only had screens and videos to go by, but i'd say Ridge Racers is that game for PSP.

Pursuit Force does look a bit generic, much like Burnout, but it's the concept that's got my interest. The graphics do look nice, but it's about what i'd expect out of a good developer for the PSP's first gen.

Does the game look appealing to you outside of of the visuals.

Damn I'm confused as hell now.

The writeup from a bit back sounded interesting... these pictures seem to go along with said writeup....

Sorry, but last I checked none of those games allowed me to get into melee combat in the middle of a high-speed car chase, jump from one moving vehicle to another, get dragged by vehicles, etc.

Maybe its you that's too busy getting bent out of shape about the graphics rather than paying attention to the gameplay hints some of these pics provide.

The game looks like fun from those pics... high speed chases, jumping from car to car, etc.

It doesn't look boring to me -- or even particularly 'generic.'

I agree. Kinda has a "Mad Max" vibe to it, which would be cool by me. From what I've heard so far, it looks like it has lots of potential and could be alot of fun to play. The fact that the graphics look like that and it's on the PSP, are just gravey.
