Puzzle games for the PS2?

Anyone care to name some decent ones? Games like ICO and Wild Arms 3 can be considered puzzle games in this case by the way.

That's right, I made a thread as soon as I could! :lol

This one looks like it has a ton of potential, in the same sort of vein as Sony's other puzzle games Intelligent Qube and Otostaz (and of course Namco's arcade-only Star Trigon), and is coming out on 10/06 in Japan. You can check out a brief video here.

Well it's not out yet, so your guess is as good as mine. I'm just saying I think it looks good. :)

edit: oops, you said when it comes out. Yeah, I'll let you know!

Yes, Mawaza! Looks cool...I made a thread about it a few days ago, but noone replied. ;(
Anyway, are you going to pick it up, bobby? Looking forward to some impressions if that's the case. :D

Let me put in a mention of Mojo, it's a pretty decent Marble Madness style puzzler, and you should be able to get it for a couple bucks nowadays. The first dozen levels are totally simplistic but it gets trickier as it goes.

Oh no no, I was talking about Mawaza when I said the "is coming out 10/06" part.. Star Trigon remains long-lost, I'm afraid! :(

Sorry bout that!

Amplitude and Frequency could be considered puzzle games and they are MUST buys imo.

Yes, both of those games are excellent choices, though a bit hard to find now.

Katamari Damacy has some puzzle aspects to it, and I'd also highly recommend that one. The sequel, We Love Katamari, was just released in the US yesterday.

Another strong recommendation is that you get Midway Arcade Treasures and play the excellent emulated version of the arcade game Klax that is on that disc.

Xi Go and Otostaz and Fantavision, God Damn It.

There's other ones but those are the 3 I feel like mentioning.

I got it for XBOX and ys it's pretty cool in a Marble Maddness/Monkey Ball/Labyrinth way. Super cheap and pretty good, can't go wrong.

DCX

So I take it there was never a sequel to Devil Dice? so much cool quirky stuff lost from the PS to PS2 move. -_-

Well since PS2 can play PS games go and hunt down Devil Dice. Good puzzles and multi-player fun.

Bombastic / Xi Go is Devil Dice 3, and it's for PS2. It rules.

Are there any good Bust-a-move games for PS2?

Its Bust A Move but with different sized bubbles. Changes up the strategy just a little bit. Super Bust A Move 2 is pretty much the exact same. Bust A Move is always good fun so get one of them if you're not tired of the series already.

I've been playing Mawaza, it's pretty fun and the music is awesome. :)
Is it import-friendly? Do you think there's potential for a release outside of Japan? Mawaza looks right up my alley so I'm really hoping for either of the two.

Let me know how it progresses. I was interested, until I read Famitsu's review, which basically said it's a pain in the ass when you get to a certain point.

It's import friendly up to like level 5, then I got totally lost. It had some English text but not in tutorial so I didn't know how to do some stuff. But FAQs will come out.
