Quantum Break first Review by Jim Sterling

So reviews hit tomorrow?

As a PC only gamer is there anyway for me to buy this without pre-ordering the XB1 version?

I mean you don't need to buy an Xbox One to get the PC version, get the XB1 digital you have the PC code anyway, same price on either store. And if you are patient there bound to be cheap codes in the B/S/T thread.

Remedy has a pretty good track record so I imagine QB will review well enough. Going to hold out to see if they self publish on steam though

Well you're going to need a Xbox/windows account regardless, so you may as well pre-order through the Xbox Store on the website - so you get both versions of the game :) As for pre-loading the PC version, that's unfortunately not an option; the PC version will only be purchasable/downloadable on the release day.

At Build yesterday. MS announced unified store opening up things like pre loading. So it's coming, just not here yet.

+
Creative gameplay with the time abilities, player choice that does affect the game, and an incredibly deep story that really does close the plot-holes that time travel naturally produces.

Players will feel like they're doing more watching the game instead of playing due to the episodes and cut scenes and excessive use of mo-cap creates constant green-screen effects between characters and environments.

Heard Jeff saying that he finished the game on the Bombcast yesterday is the most unenthusiastic way imaginable.

Slightly worried. I assume it´s gonna land in the high 70s.

Jeff is unenthusiastic regarding videogames.... so...
Why Brad is not reviewing it is baffling to me. The Alan Wake fan and all that.

I don't think Jeff being unenthusiastic about this game really says anything about how it'll be received by the community at large.

Jeff sounds pretty unenthusiastic about a lot of stuff.

I got a deal on QB, got Gears Ultimate bundled with it for free. Good stuff.

Anyways, Jim seems like a stand up bloke. I'll sample his way too early review like a stolen vintage wine.

Prediction for the review thread (as always).
Wee, let's all cherrypick the lowest review and take that as gospel!
It was the opposite last time... Division got some great reviews and everybody talked it was the best new thing in games.

See what it tuned out... 80 meta.

Meta 75 i reckon, plenty of outlets could mark it down for those sections where there is more watching than playing, and also length (if it is 7 hours as some are saying)
