OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
Hi. I am wondering if you guys can answer this question....

There is a Gameboy Advance battery recharger at Conseplus.co.uk...

included is a 100-240V Recharger which allows recharging the battery *WITHOUT* the use of your GBA SP

Since this thing recharges gba batteries, I was wondering if you think it will recharge Nintendo DS batteries as well, since they're basically the same size? The only difference are the two small sticks that stick out from the end:

Therefore I am thinking of ordering a replacement battery and charging it in the stand alone charger from consoleplus while charging the other one in the DS. Sounds like a reasonable solution to the battery issue...do you think it will work?

I would think it would. since i had a GBA power pack and recharg thing, that worked perfect with the wavebird.

Nintendo is normally good about making stuff like that backwards compatable.

Cool...I am also hearing that people are getting more battery life out of their GBA games on their DS, than on their SP....true?

I have a Pelican 3X battery on my SP; the kind that also stores the old battery in it and lets you switch between the two with a slide switch. I play a ton of GBA games, and I've been playing them to death on the DS lately....

I can't give total minute-by-minute blow by blows, but from personal experience, the DS's battery life for GBA games has been falling somewhere in the middle of the stock GBA battery and the Extended battery I have.

Also, I'm easily getting twice as much juice from playing GBA games on the DS than I am DS games (makes sense, screenX2 and all).

Yeah, it only makes sense. The actual DS battery is about 40% more powerful and gives slightly less play time on a full charge (when playing DS games, compared to an SP playing GBA games). So when you only have to power one light/screen, then the GBA play time on the DS is gonna be a decent bit more than a regular SP.

Nope. Was just trying to give my personal experiences between an SP with normal battery, SP with extended battery, and DS with normal battery.

(For GBA games, low to high): SP Normal < DS Normal < SP Extended

I've been meaning to ask this...
What voltage can the Nintendo DS adaptor take? I was thinking about buy a DS in japan (I think 120v), but wasn't sure if it would still charge in Australia (240v).

thats also a good question...
