Question About HD-Based Players & Shock...

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
I recently bought a 30GB Nomad Jukebox, which is a laptop HD-based MP3 player. My question to those in the know and those who own iPods and similar devices is: how do they react during things like bike-riding, jogging, any sort of general excersise where the player might find itself crammed in a cargo pants pocket and exposed to some slight jostling? Generally, the HD itself isn't spinning - it only does it as much as is necessary to cache music to the flash memory within the device. Still, is this enough movement to damage the HD? Thanks.

My ipod mini has been kicking ass with 3-4 times weekly gym trips for the last 6-8 months. I usually run on a treadmil for 35 minutes each time. no problem

Is it in a pants pocket or shirt pocket when you're doing this? I imagine the stress would be less in a shirt's pocket, but sometimes that's not an option. Thanks.

I use the belt clip that comes with it. It's pretty much stuck to my hip. so it is bouncing up and down quite a lot while running.

Good to know. I usually shove the Nomad in its belt clip holder when I take it outside the house as it seems to provide a pretty good shell for it. I figure I'll bang the hell out of it in the next couple of weeks while I'm still within the 30-day return period. If it survives that, it should be good. ;)
