Question about iBook/iPod deal.

Someone told me that for the last 2 years that during the month of August Apple offered a deal where if you buy an iBook they'll give you $300 off an iPod (not sure if this only applies to Canada). Can anyone confirm this? If it's true I might just wait till then, maybe Apple will do the deal this year too. You can never have too many iPod, my sis wants one so my old G2 10G will go to her. Everyone's happy, especially me :)

I don't know if this helps you, but my university has a somewhat similar deal. Buy an Apple laptop of any kind and get $100 off an iPod mini (making it cost only $100).

This is the "Cram & Jam" deal. I used it last year when I bought my Powerbook and new iPod. It was actually $200 off, so the iPod ends up costing $70 after the $30 student rebate and the $200 main-in rebate. However, iPod prices have changed so it could be different now. I also know that they did it the year prior, because that's when my roommate got his Powerbook and iPod.

They will probably do it again this year, when we get closer to the back to school season.
