I'd like to import a pink DS for my girlfriend, so she doesn't have to use mine to play Nintendogs (and, soon, what I'm sure will be a constant 24 hours of Animal Crossing). My question is, am I totally fucked if there is something wrong with it, as I don't get Nintendo's warranty?

It depends who you buy it from. Some retailers will accept returns, others won't.

Where are you from, and are you importing the JPN version? The pink DS is coming out in Europe in October if you wanted to wait

I'm in Massachusetts. I assumed I would import from Japan, but I guess it doesn't really matter if the unit is the same.

Oh ok, it doesn't matter about the Euro version then. Get the JPN one so you can use the charger that comes with it.
