Question about the Xbox 360's USB keyboard function

This might sound a bit silly, but will the Xbox 360's USB ports allow you to use a keyboard in-game? I know it does for typing to other users online, but I'm talking about RTS and other PC micromanagement-based stuff. I think it's great for naming your music tracks and typing to other Xbox Live users. Saves a great deal of time. I was just wondering what its gameplay potential is.

Sega, please make Typing of the Dead 2 for X360.

Not going to happen.

You'd be killing the backs of the in game characters, what with the size of the 360 and the battery pack. :P

But that would be a perfect joke where they can say something about how it was easier last time :)

Typing of the Dead would be perfect for the Xbox 360 while
a) People are eager for content
b) USB keyboards reduce the barrier to entry

USB keyboards can only be used for text input, not game control.

Which makes them worse for text input too: let me tell you that changing song's info when ripping an album to the Xbox 360 is more of a pain than it should be with having to switch between the controller and the keyboard (especially if you are using a keyboard with no accented words... the PS2 Linux keyboard ;)) :).
