OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
Hey guys :)

I got what might be a silly question....can I use a wireless router to connect to the WiFi hotspot? For example, let's say I want to connect my laptop to a wireless router via ethernet cable, and then have the router pickup the WiFi signal at the hotspot....Will this work? If so, how much stronger will the signal be, as opposed to using a regular PCMCIA WiFi card?

What router would you recommend?

only if it can work in bridge mode. But the real question is why? You'd need a power source and a cable from your laptop to the router (not to mention having to disconnect the router from your home)? Just buy a wifi card for your laptop. Range won't be any different

I already have a PCMCIA wifi card, but I am not satisfied with the signal strength....too many obstacles in the way blocking the path from me to the core of the hotspot, plus I'm near an ex-ray machine and a magnotometer.
...and we're talking about what is supposed to be a good wifi card here(Seneo Ultimate notebook kit).

I want the strongest range possible.

does it have a jack for an external antenna? that'd boost your range more than replacing it with a router.

Yes it does...you see it here...*Seneo WiFi Card*

But you're saying the external antenna from my wifi card would give a stronger signal than the antennas coming from a WiFi router? Strange....

Pretty much you are going to need some type of Wi-Fi Repeater and place it near the middle of the strong signal point.

not really. I am already pretty much at the hotspot. The middle core and open area is right outside this glass door. I am posting this message from the hotspot right now. But the signal I'm getting is only about 40%. It used to be around 80%!! But for some reason it dropped some. So getting this ethernet network bridge adaptor should boost the signal and connection strength significantly. :)
