So I have an eMac and really enjoy it overall, but I have one complaint: the display. No matter how much adjusting I do, I cannot get the edges to be perfectly straight and symmetrical. The top part of the screen dips down and the upper and bottom portions of the screen on both sides also dips in. It's not easily noticeable at first, but now that I know it's there, it drives me nuts.
But is this the case with every eMac screen? Or every CRT monitor that Apple has produced? I don't recall the same problem with my old iMac DV. I went to the Apple store and their eMacs are actually worse.... are they all fucked up like that, or do certain conditions cause this problem? Like the monitor constantly being on. When I restart my eMac, the edges are totally straight, but over time, they bend (in just a few minutes actually).
Just want to heard some feedback on this. I have AppleCare, but I don't want to carry the thing across town just to hear that they can't/won't do anything about it.
