Is there any all in one switch out there that will allow me to switch Audio and Video between the pc and Xbox 360?

also i have never used a VGA cable before so i am just going to assume that to connect it I just have to connect the monitor cable to the VGA cable. right?

An all in one switch? Possibly, I doubt it though. A KVM will switch your VGA and a receiver will switch the audio (I'm sure there are some KVMs that switch audio but 1/8" and rca?).

No clue about the switcher. Any VGA box I had featured it's own audio out so I only needed to switch the image input, I'm not sure if the x360's has one as well, but I wouldn't doubt it.

And yes, you just plug the VGA cable from the system into your monitor.

edit: Yeah the x360's feature audio outs as well, so I guess the you'll need a switcher depending on how you want to handle the audio.

No clue about the switcher. Any VGA box I had featured it's own audio out so I only needed to switch the image input, I'm not sure if the x360's has one as well, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Eh from the system to the monitor of course. It wouldn't be possible to plug into your monitor cable directly unless it had a female head (holes, not pins). In which case your monitor sucks...

The x360 VGA cable is guaranteed to have a male head, so you plug that into the monitor.

youd need a rca to mini jack adapter though, like this thing: http://www.audiogear.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?key=AdptQsf2Rf&preadd=action (except 1/8" instead of 1/4").

and you can use the usb to switch between 360/pc if youre using a wired controller! well that should work. i think. (if you dont give a shit about that you could find a vga/minijack only switcher)

thats all a pretty (over) elaborate setup, and limited by cable length perhaps, depending on where you plan to keep your pc/display/360. and its assuming you plan to use just stereo sound.

and as nikashi said, if stuff doesnt match (female/male), just give your cables a sex change with an adapter.
