clearly, you've come to the right place with your problem.

White Man said:Oh, I didn't know this was directed at me. I was just pointing out that it's cool to live in an environment where gay indie kids actually do exist. I didn't mean to make it sound like a big association. Music is just one of the few things I could speak clearly about, and it's cool to have people that appreciate a lot of the same things I do. Most normal guys get turned off around hour number 2 of my "Diamond Dogs was the biggest letdown ever" rant.
They don't like pussy because they don't like pussy. It isn't a conscious choice which can be explained.DaCocoBrova said:What is it about pussy that you guys don't like?
Does it resemble an open wound to you or something?
adelgary said:What's up with everyone reacting to what Grizzlyjin said and calling it a false generalization? Go reread his post, he never said "All straight guys go through a phase", heck he didn't even say "most", he said "Lots of straight guys won't admit it, but they most likely had some questions about their sexuality."... I don't see how you can call that a generalization, sounds pretty fair to me.
What kind of friends did you have?
The Capitol Hill area is a good place for young gay people in Seattle, while there are the stereotypical clubs, I see many gay indie kids up there as well hanging out at Neumos and up on Broadway.
As for straight people hanging out at gay clubs, yes, I go to Neighbours ocassionally. They stay open until 4am, it's a lot of fun (went there on my 21st birthday) and sometimes Em and I aren't ready to go home yet at 2am.
White Man said:Yeah. I live like a half block from Broadway. And I'll be going to Neumo's tonite, actually.
Yeah, I've been to Neighbours a few times with my friends. The whole 4am thing makes it a pretty nice place to hang out. I also hang out around Bauhaus a fair bit. I really like the area here.
White Man said:No, I have to skip out on the Wrens tomorrow. I was only able to get one night off this week, and I chose Xiu Xiu/Decemberists/Deerhoof over The Wrens. It was a choice between going to a show where 3 of my favorite current bands are playing vs. going to a show where 1 of my current favorites is playing. That and I really want to hear those new XX songs in person. Any idea what the Decemberists are playing live? I'd be happy if they just did The Tain, but I guess it's almost time for them to be bustin' out new material.
I'm really excited about this show, heh. It's been a good past 7 days for music.
