anyway only a few people here are gay, just because some of them are very vocal doesn't mean this place is full of gay people.

Anyway who cares? GAF is like one big family

Eh, there is an official list. As far as I remember, it was upwards in the 30 mark as far as regulars go.

I just want to know where that damn effeminate accent comes from! I know gay guys before they were outed and they talked like regular men. I here them later and they sound like a mockery of a girls voice on prozac.

My theory is that its a (possibly subconcious)way to advertise the fact you are gay. Helps people with broken gaydars?

Eh. Effeminate guys are the oppressed minority in the gay community right now.

I personally have no idea why the voice thing happens. I'm starting to get it more and more myself, and I don't hang out with any other gay people on a regular basis, and I swear I don't put it on.

Although I notice I talk heaps straighter when I'm around people I don't know that well, or people that don't know I like the cock.

Sometimes my best friends have to say to me 'um, you realise that they already know you're gay right?' and then the whole straight voice thing just vanishes.

Yeah, I have no idea why I do it. I really really try to supress it though. However, I've been told that once I open my mouth, I totally give away my sexuality.

Thanks freestyler for the stright (hehe) and honest answer.
To add to what he said, enemas are the best way to make sure things look the same going in and coming out, but there is such a thing as too many. Enemas remove the good bacteria in the rectum, and on a constant basis can have a negative effect on your body.

Basically, the more lube the better. The anus isn't self-lubricated (unlike the vagina) and if i remember correctly, the rectal walls actually absorb water. But generally, the more you use, the cleaner things come out. It also helps if you've given your food a time to digest and go to the bathroom, and wash yourself beforehand.

Heh I know this one guy (X) who recounted a story:

He essentially hooked up with this guy. The guy wanted to be f*cked, so X went to go get lube and condoms. X proceeded to loosen up the guy's anus with his finger. However, as he probed around, he felt something weird. It turned out to be a chuck of shit. So, X told the guy to go to the restroom. But the guy goes to the restroom with the DOOR OPEN, and X loses all sex drive.

You're bi? I didn't really get that vibe from you when I saw you at Oiwake's after E3 three years ago :p

Hrm... that gay accent thing is perplexing too. I've known a bunch of gay guys who used to sound normal, then suddenly became effeminate when they 'came out.' I've asked them why they changed, and mostly the reason is because they didn't want to appear too obviously gay. It was just another way for them to suppress the homosexual tendency and operate through high school (where they usually stay closeted) largely unnoticed. I have a bunch of gay friends who (online) emote themselves in such a way that you'd think they're fairly stereotypically gay, but are quite the opposite in reality.

Strange strange.... for the record, 99 percent of my gay friends never *ever* miss Sex and the City... I never really got into it, I don't see what the big hooplah is :p

ever since chasing amy I always feel the need to ask this:

can gay people get off my looking at themselves in a mirror (not that theyd want to, just would it work)?

Why would gay people be any more narcissistic than straight people? I suppose it is easier, but I'm certain that someone who's gay would prefer to have someone else just a smuch as any straight person would =)

this is true. rob halford of judas priest is totally effeminate now. i mean even when he was in the closet, he was quite obviously gay. but after he came out he just became flaming gay. george michael as well.

I didn't mean it the narcissistic way, just, would gay people find themselves attractive. I mean when I look at guys, I don't see ugly nor hot, I just see... not female. So when I see myself in the mirror all I see is again... not female.

and I think if I was a straight woman, it would be the same... since you aren't what you want, I would again not find myself attractive... unless I were a lesbian.

but then I'm weird I guess. I mean I also think if I was a woman I wouldn't be able to resist playing with my boobies all day.

Hrm... I don't know. I would assume it's the same for anyone who knows what they want it a body and how they dress it. Honestly, I can see your question being true on two instances:

a) Someone who cherishes the way their body looks and pride themselves over it (body builders)

b) (I suppose) Gay guys who just find their own bodies the type of body they'd want in their partner.

Both equally require a bit or narcissism to make the extra leap for "self-love" to take place :)lol). It would certain be more of an accessable pass time for gay guys than the straight ones.... if you were a woman, would you imagine yourself the same way? Sometimes I think that had I been born a woman, I'd be pretty hot. o_O I still think that for that to happen, you have to be narcissistic somehow.

Maybe someone else can answer that question?

Hmmm..insightfull

to comment on another post...what woul a gay couple benefit by using condoms? I mean is it the AIDS thing? I thought AIDS in gay men declined quite rapidly after the 80's.

AIDS in the gay community, much lile syphilis, is still a huge concern. If I remember correctly, syphilis was on the rise within the gay community a few months ago. It doesn't really matter if there's a couple that's monogomous (which I've found many couples who've been together exclusively for 5+ years), it's always in your best option to be safe in any situation. Whether it be gay sex or straight sex.

One issue would be oral sex, though. Do you use a condom? Should you? Most people probably don't like the taste of silicon in their mouth, but for purely hygenical reasons it would be *much* safer in the long run. Even if AIDS han't been found to be communicable through slaiva (or even saliva on an open wound of someone who isn't infected), would you really want to be the first?

As a gay man I'm always flabbergasted whenever I hear my straight friends tell me they had sex without a condom. Of course, these are my straight girlfriends/fag hags that are on the pill so they're primary condom concern is pregnancy which they feel is taken care of with the pill (whether that's true or not I don't know, getting pregnant isn't a problem for me). Being a gay man my main concern is my health and HIV and as a result I have NEVER had unprotected anal intercourse and I will not for a very long time. Even if I were to get into a monogomous relationship it would probably be an extremely long-time before I would consent to unprotected anal sex.

All one needs to do is sit in a chatroom for a while and you'll find these HIV+ tops that feel it's ok for them to have unprotected sex with someone that's HIV- simply because their viral load is below a certain threshold. Granted, the risk is greatly reduced when you're on meds because the amount of virus in the fluid is smaller, but still, that is highly unethical in my view given the greater chance for transmission in the rectum than in the vagnia. Even when two HIV+ people have sex all transmission should be avoided because the last thing a positive person's body needs is another slightly different strain of the virus let loose in their system.

you suck cock in a condom?

WTF? It was a question. lol I read a few articles a while ago concerning safe(er) sex practices -- most doctors seems to agree that using dental dam (vaginal oral sex) or a condom would be the best method to prevent STD's from spreading. I was referring to anyone in this thread willing to share their viewpoint concerning protected oral sex. Would you practice it?

It's sort of a relation to your question about considering how 'AIDS' infection has fallen, would you still have unprotected sex with your partner? AFAIA, it's only fallen somewhat significantly within the straight community, but would you still take the chance?

my GF and I sometimes start unprotected but move to a condom. I agree though, it's for pregnancy reasons.

I was just surprised that you'd use protection when doing it oral

Technically you can still transmit sperm through precum, so i'd watch that if she isn't on the pill etc.

As far as condoms / oral. They always cite it as a safety thing, but I've never known anyone personally that did it. The main concern there is less HIV and its ilk and more highly transmissable diseases like Herpes.

It does terrify me that you can get the herpes from a cold-sore mouth.......

herpes simplex I believe.

Having had cold-sores since the age of 13, although I haven't had one for about 4-5 years now, the thought of one of those growing on my knob is blood curdling.
