I'm watching The Simpsons for the first time ever (thank you DVD), I just finished the first season (My friend has up season 6 on DVD), my question is: If I play Simpsons Hit and Run now, would it spoil anything story wise from the coming episodes for me? Or maybe diminish my enjoyment of watching the series for the first time in any way?

Well to my defence, I completely stopped watching TV many years ago, I did watch a couple of random episodes when I was young, but don't remember any details, and I played two very old Simpsons PC games.

Man, that game had a lot of screen tearing. Made me nauseous to watch it, sometimes.

I didn't noticed any screen tearing or Vsync problems (Xbox NTSC version)

How can you spoil the simpsons?, I mean, every episode is standalone and there are very few references of past episodes.
