ok I just picked up Harvest moon for the DS today. (I sold that crap that is known as Egg Hero.. ) and so far so good! For fans of the HM series this game just gives you more. Most of the characters are from the gamecube version, but there are more ladies that you can court (maybe two more, which would bring the total to 5, but not sure yet.) the one drawback to the game is the touch aspects seem like they were just tossed in for the hell of it. a great example of this is in the very start when they ask your character's name and what not, you can punch the info in with the touch pen, but you can't confirm it with it... just little things like that makes me think that the more developers use the touch pen in their games the more of a price break they get... like the Eye toy for Sony... but not really sure, just making a guess about that.

the graphics are awesome for a HM game with great animations. And the music is good in a campy HM way. All in all it is nothing really new, just more and better! Loving it so far!

Thanks for the impressions. I was a little afraid that the touch aspects would sort of be stupid, but I guess it could potentially be a cool little thing like milking the cows. What else is the touch aspect used for?

for sheering sheep. But it serves no real purpose, because as far as I can tell how well you milk cows, or sheer sheep, the grade of your product isn't changed.
