Actually, I want to ask ALL the questions, but I just want to get started. :)

OK, this is a function modeling exponential growth or decay. g(x) is given by the formula:

g(x) = Pa^x

Question: If g(0) = 6 and g(4) = 14, what points do you know on the graph of the function g?

I hope it's not like right there in my face (like I suspect it is :)).

My guess would be this(it's been a while):

6=Pa^0

since anything^0 = 1, p = 6/(a^0) => =6/1 => = 6

P=6

and therefore 14=6a^4, 14/6=a^4, a = 1.81

and now looking i think i overthought the problem...

technically you know two points right off the bat.... when x= 0, y=6 and x = 4, y=14

or in coordinate form: (0,6) and (4,14)

what i solved was the unknowns which can give you any point on the graph if you know x or y...

How did you get a = 1.81?

After you get 14/6 = a^4, don't you take the 4th root of 14/6 to get a?

I got 1.24 (rounded).
