Quick Question regarding Xbox's DVD drive (and maybe Xenons)

According to the "Unofficial Xenon Specs" post regarding Xenon's DVD drive:

http://forums.gaming-age.com/showthread.php?t=36069

The Xenon game disc drive is a 12× DVD, with an expected outer edge throughput of 16+ MB/sec. Latency is expected to be in the neighborhood of 100 ms. The media format will be similar to Xbox, with approximately 6 GB of usable space on the disk. As on Xbox, media will be stored on a single side in two 3 GB layers.

I wanted to ask some developers, or anybody that might know the answer;

Does this mean that NO XBOX game is over 6GB and that 6GB is the actual cap for data storage?

And if that post is correct, that the same will be true for Xenon? I don't necessarily want to get into the whole argument about how much storage will be needed next gen, but this seems incredibly limiting, but maybe I'm misreading the article.

I'm fairly sure thats correct. I've heard between 5-6gigs of actual useable space.

It's not anymore limiting (this gen) than a 4.5 gig PS2 DVD (of which very few games manage to fill, the number of Double Sided PS2 dvd's is negligable).

As was pointed out in that thread, the capacity is something like 6.3 gig, Rallisport 2 was 6.1 and as close as anyone has come to filling it.

I'd agree it will prove limiting, especially later in the generation.
