I know these are supposed to be production pics but I don't see how they can improve the hair for that scene they are shooting unless they cut it. It looks Godawful as it is now. It looks like they just slapped a bird's nest on his head or something.
Same here. Just give him a short hair cut, damn it! And that suit looks 10x better than whatever cheap stuff they have him wearing in the production pics. Unless, of course, they are going to CGI'd his suit in post-production and just have him wearing something similar but comfortable for action purpose.

Though to use your excuse any problems with the QS look can be fixed later on(which is just the hair). What MCU QS is wearing looks good and he is *gasp* built, unlike Fox QS or Flash.
the difference being is that when I see Gustin Grant wearing that uniform however bad you think it is (and good job on judging it based on one still photo) I know it's the damn Flash as opposed when I see Quicksilvers I just some dude wearing a shirt or a leather jacket. you don't have tod efend everything Marvel you know....

I really wish pictures like this weren't released or taken. People grasp at straws and look for something to discuss and it all gets so negative and stupid. The difference is that the Singer pic was intended to look that way, as awful as it is.
The Marvel one will obviously go through some movie magic, and look better on screen, as shown with basically all past Marvel films. I'm not worried.

Quicksilver has more in common with Marvel's other Speedster, Northstar, than Flash.
Both Pietro and Jean Paul are white haired mutant speedsters who are complete dicks and have overprotective relationships with their sometimes crazy twin sisters and float between "establishment" super teams and X-Teams.

Pure speculation but given the look of the shoot for the Marvel pics, I wonder if both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are still basically "civilians" in that sequence who don't have proper costumes yet. They're just in the middle of shit going down when the Avengers show up. The over-the-counter outfits they're wearing are merely suggestive of the style they'd choose for uniforms.
I think that's what it is. Those aren't the final outfits or costumes. Don't worry people. They will likely not half-ass the costumes like Singer does.

That's what I like about the MCU movies. The acting might be simplistic, the action scenes on TV-movie levels, and the writing about as good as your average Spider-Man comic book, but they will make damn sure people are in superhero costumes so that you will know they are superheroes.
That's what's important.

The final version of Quicksilver will look loads better in Age of Ultron, I'm sure of that

You have seen a couple of non-official production stills from an early filming scene. Why are you taking as knowing the entire movie? That's like looking at Bruce Banner early in The Avengers and going "hey why isn't he the Hulk, he should be green with purple shorts!".

Yeah, Cap in Avengers was a total misfire, costume wise. But they've fixed it in CA2 and presumably will keep a similar costume for The Avengers.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around why they changed up his costume from Captain America. I know they made a joke in the movie that it's more patriotic or nostalgic or some crap, but it looked so much better in his movie.
