Rich fuckers.

What does "Public Preview" mean? Is this a beta type thing or a limited time only time expiration thing?

Hm... at least I can stop asking about in the Speedruns topic now.

But that sucks, they want people to buy new registration codes for Pro, even if they already owned a Pro code for 6, it's not compatible.

Yeah, I even haggled with Dell Sales on the phone until I got them to drop it from $1200 list to $900. :lol :) I love this monitor. *HUGGLES MONITOR*

1080p stuff runs like shit on my P4 3.0 HT with 1 GB of RAM.

Quicktime 7, or WMV9?

I noticed the 1080p Apple trailers didn't make my CPU (same setup as you) get past 70%, but the image kept tearing like MGS2.

Codec issue? Apple generally not giving a fuck about Quicktime for Windows issue?

This is pretty buggy for me. It opens every new movie in a new window even thoughI have it set to open them in the same QT. It's also asking me if I want to save changes everytime I try to close a QT movie. Anyone else having problems?

Yup.

Just look at the ridiculous recommended system requirements for 720p on PC vs Mac.

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/hdgallery/recommendations.html

For 1280x720 (720p) video at 24-30 frames per second:

QuickTime 7 for Windows Public Preview:
Dual 2.8 GHz Intel Xeon or faster processor
At least 1 GB of RAM
64 MB or greater video card

QuickTime 7 for Mac OS X:
1.8 GHz PowerMac G5 or faster Macintosh computer
At least 256 MB of RAM
64 MB or greater video card

Yeah, whatever. :lol

You can play 720p just fine in WMV9 on a 2.4 ghz, I think Apple has a fair bit of optimization to do on x86. :)

If you want to see 1080p QT7 movie on your Pc, try the elecard moonlight player.

It kills QT7 in performance.
