BANKS' London EP is out in all stores today. It's worth picking up.*

1. Waiting Game (prod. SOHN)
2. This is What it Feels Like (prod. Lil Silva & Jamie Woon)
3. Bedroom Wall (prod. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs)
4. Change (prod. Tim Anderson)

Also the new Twigs EP is in the wild (it was pushed back to the 17th).* Produced by Arca (Yeezus, that incredible free mixtape), it is one of the best things to happen to music this year.

1. How's That
2. Papi Pacify
3. Water Me
4. Ultraviolet

Hey, BJ the Chicago Kid has a song featured on one of the GTAV stations! Only found about him 2 weeks ago when I discovered this thread, so that was a nice little treat.

*don't mind me, just double posting*

Drake's new album drops Tuesday. I still think his singing is just as terrible as before, but he's got two incredible features in Jheno Aiko & Sampha. Checking out their stuff on youtube now and it's legit, lol. I'm crazy late.

Anyone else a fan of The Foreign Exchange? Love these guys. Seen them live twice. Anyway, their fifth album released today. They've all but abandoned the r&b/hip-hop fusion sound present on the first two albums in lieu of a more uptempo/dance feel. It's decent enough. Love Nicolay's lush production. My personal highlights are "Better" & "Dreams Are Made of".

Btw, if I'm breaking a rule with the back to back posts, I apologize.

I'm a fan and I agree with your assessment. My favorite album of theirs is Leave It All Behind. I have the newest album, but haven't listened yet. That B-side "Hush" is that jam. I need to find a mp3 of that.

Thread could use a bit more love so I'll drop a couple of my more recent discoveries.

I heard this group for the first time the other day. They are a Belgian duo, their debut album Yorokobi's Mantra just came out not too long ago. They aren't entirely R&B (bits of pop and your typical modern indie sound) but I liken their sound as a mix of Little Dragon and The xx
What Baby
Lay Down Your Blade
The Movement Song

Canadian artist, debut album Pull My Hair Back (co-produced with Jeremy Greenspan from the Junior Boys) came out not too long ago as well. It has a early/mid 90's sound but its very electronic, not surprising since she's out of Hyperdub.

I need to check this out, I didn't know they would be dropping a new album anytime soon. I haven't listened to FE in a while but Tigallo and Nicolay can do no wrong in my eyes.

This post r&b indie bulllshit is boring as fuck.

Have you heard Banks? Someone up there posted some songs of her new EP. It's worth a check. It's very electronic, though.

btw, I am now listening to Ms. Kelly album and it seems to be solid r&b. I have also been listening to Amerie, but apart from 1 Thing I haven't been hooked to any other song yet.

Absolutely ridiculous production lined up. Going to be huge based on the tracks released to this point.

She also had a song on Teengirl Fantasy's most recent album:

EFX

NEW ACTIVE CHILD. If you haven't heard him, he's in the James Blake/How to Dress Well lane of modern R&B. His sound may be a bit too electronic focused for fans of traditional R&B, but I dig it.

Anyways, his new EP 'Rapor' is up on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/active-child/sets/rapor-ep.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the full EP, but Evening Ceremony is a great track.

The Kelela tape is the shit.

Does anyone know who that dude is talking over the beat on Go All Night? Sounds like a sample of a rapper, Cam'Ron maybe.

CUT 4 ME is pretty good. Kinda makes me bitter that she dropped out of the bill when she was supposed to open for Inc. when they were in town.

mmm listening to the kelela tape and it is indeed pretty great. up there with EP2 as my favourite r&b releases of the year.

I gotta say even though FKA Twigs EP has only four tracks, those four tracks are still better than Kelela's entire existence. And I enjoyed Cut 4 Me.

Mixtape vs EP though. Plus it seems like both releases have their own sounds they're going for. I find it most impressive about Kelela that she comes out of nowhere and holds her own on that tape with that production cast/sound/brand. CUT 4 ME could've easily been her debut LP, it's going to be hard to top honestly.

They're both two of my favorite releases of the year.

I love Blood Orange's single for his new album, Chamakay

Not sure if this is R&B, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. Either way, can't wait for the album later this month.

Everytime this thread is bumped I click hoping for some new frank ocean news. Even though I don't think he's technically R&B
