R.I.P. Stan Lee

WHAT? Really sad to hear this. He was in the midst of strange... circumstances and various members of the community were outspoken about his treatment by those close to him.
 
No! He was 95 so I feared that this day would come but I didn't want to think about it. Legend. RIP. :(

Ah fuck. Terrible news. It was going to happen sooner than later but one foolishly hoped he'd last forever.

The man provided us with so much joy, entertainment, and marvel (the concept, not the company) - yet he asked for so little in return. I still remember hearing his voice when I was a kid on the Spider-man PS1 game. His voice is what I will always associate the voice of the comics industry with.

"Excelsior" and Rest in Peace, Mr. Lee.
 
He was a living legend, and will remain a legend. Thank you for my childhood obsession with comick books, Mr Lee. Sad day.
 
RIP Mr. Lee.

He was a man that always exuded warmth whether it was the written word, his voice or even just his smile.
 
I feel conflicted, his legacy is too problematic

I respect him as a businessman that took Marvel to the forefront of the industry, but we all know that it was Jack Kirby that created the Marvel we love and know.

we should respect Lee for what he did, and he did alot of great things and he truly deserves a R.I.P

but what he did to Kirby and Ditko is indefensible
 
Stan Lee was one of those guys that shaped comics, now highly popular movie series, story building around characters and entertainment value. This man has created, co-created, or overseen so many comic heroes and villians, he was the living embodiment of the comic industry, an industry he helped create.

These are the kinds of legendary people that through their work drove new thinking to new horizons. It was cool to be a superhero, and it was cool to talk about it. And comic heroes made us think aswell, through the rivers of our imagination.

Stan Lee was one of those people who you could call bridge builders: They build bridges to new places of entertainment, to new fountains of innovative thought, and through new caverns of exploration. Stan was one of those bridge builders: A universal skill that is applicable through every sector imaginable, from philosophy to science to sports to entertainment.

His legacy lives on through each and every one of his characters, boasting incredible impact for the entertainment industry. Whilst other legends like Hawking or like MJ have given us a lasting legacy in their field, Stan Lee gave us his legacy in a different one. A man with his might that ultimately, just loved to create.

You weren't supposed to take this one away, Thanos.

Stan Lee, A humble legend, a legacy profound, and a history fortold. I can only have my deepest respect for his body of work. This is a man for eternity. And eternity will gracefully accept this man's magic unto its realm.

He seemed like he had a good life and was a positive person till the end. Comics have been a big part of my life in the past and continue to entertain me today so a big thank you to Stan Lee for his contribution to the medium.
 
He got to 95 in better shape than most and has left a legacy that will live on for generations. Seems like a life well lived.

Wow incredibly sad news, he was a legend. Glad he got to live an extremely long life and affect so many people with his work. RIP
