He probably secretly wishes he was black.

I thought you all secretly wish to be black :)

They were concerned that employers, or whomever, would not look at the black students success as high as they would the success of people of races that did not recieve a racial advantage. One of them was on the track team and joked about it being like needing to give all white kids a 50 foot head start.

And again, employers (and loan officers, doctors, police, and we can go on) have been discriminating against black people for centuries now. I don't see AA making a substantial difference in that respect. As far as I'm concerned, the white kids already *have* the 50 foot head start, and if their steroid test comes up positive, they're forgiven for it.

As far as what republicans are doing for the black community they were able to argue the democrat programs were making things worse while the republican sponsored programs were much more successful....localy. No one was able to argue against them.

Where is this place, anyway? From what I can tell, republicans can't seem to do much to help *any* racial group, so I don't see how they could possibly benefit black people more than democrats.

That’s ok, if her career starts to falter and she starts playing the race card, black people will let her back into the fold. They did with OJ.

Oh I see, so you're saying that Black people can't be successful without being a "white apologist"? Do you really think Rice would have kept her job--and gotten a promotion--if she didn't know her shit? I don't understand why Blacks who succeed (outside of hiphop and sports, the "acceptable" success paths in Black society) are ridiculed as being "not Black" or "white apologists" by the Black community.

nah, he's talking more about Ripclawe. don't get me wrong, I don't always agree with ShadowRed (in fact I probably rarely do) but he's not ridiculing Rice as much as he is Ripclawe.

Since you and I rarely agree then you won't find this a big shock, but you're wrong. I was referring to Rice although it also works with Ripclaw as well considering he's black also.

I could care less about her being a Republican. For her and Colin Powell, I feel glad for them. And I can seperate my hatred of the Republican agenda from my pride with their success. I hope she does well as she's pretty high up on the list but Dick 'I've got a polish sausage stuck in my heart' Cheney somehow can continue with shredded beef pumping blood to his body. He must've made some deal with the devil.

OJ got a temporary black pass IIRC. ;)

Ripclawe's black? I always imagined him as Alizee :(

i dont think anyone would give rice a pass back in, unless she were outright hung from a tree... colin managed to come out looking good because he was always protrayed as vocal opposition... when he quit people were like "yeah i know that boy was fed up with dubyah"

but calling her aunt jemima... thats fucked up

She is black, there's no disputing that. It's just that she's out of touch with the black community. Not that it matters to me though.

I'm curious. WHat leads you to believe she's out of touch with black america?
