Great, I love RS3 on Xbox, I'm just now discovering the campaign mode. Man is it a bitch.

nothng like issuing voice commands to your troops so they do all the work. Until of course I get them killed.

OMG I need this now.

I love Halo 2, but RS3 and Ghost Recon 2 eat up way more of my time :D

Hopefully there'll be a Ghost Recon 2 expansion next year.

If true, Ubisoft is officially rehash king. They pump out sequels at a faster rate than even Electronic Arts.

Nintendo will, of course, take back the throne once they announce Mario Party 7. :D

I'd be happy with a new Clancy game every six months if they were as good a Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon 2.

Can we have Tom Clancy Party please?

Btw for some reason i knew they would say "This time its Personal" after they said Weber is captured,i think some game allready used this phrase.

wow, that looks really crappy... and "this time its personal"? :lol

Ok. The online mode sounds ace. From GS.

Team play will be more important than ever in the Xbox game, because once you've created a persistent character for yourself (more about that shortly) and started playing, you'll earn experience points that can be spent on learning and eventually mastering skills from any of four specialized roles: commando, engineer, field medic, and spec-ops. Commandos will have access to more-powerful weapons and armor than other classes, and they will also be able to use a ballistic riot shield. Engineers will be able to deploy automated turrets, and they'll hack into security doors to open or shut them. Field medics will be able to deploy field clinics and use nerve gas (the easiest way to beat an enemy behind a riot shield). Spec-ops will be stealthy characters able to perform deadly knife attacks, and they'll have access to a sensor jammer that can disrupt enemy radars and sensors. You'll be able to choose a single profession and master it, or you can select your favorite skills from each of these specialized roles, and as you progress through the game, you'll become more proficient at any given skill, like hacking into doors more quickly or deploying more powerful turrets, for example. Exciting stuff indeed, just like the word persistent earlier in this paragraph.

When your armor deteriorates you'll have to either repair or replace it.
When you create an Xbox Live character for yourself, you'll be encouraged to use that same character every single time you play. You'll be able to influence his or her physical appearance, kit them out in different uniforms, and then customize those uniforms with camo patterns and logos of your own design. We didn't get to see the character editor in action, but we did check out a number of player-created characters, and they all looked very different physically and sported varied outfits (including loads of different headgear). As you play the multiplayer game and rack up experience points, you'll unlock additional customization options for your character, you'll be awarded medals, and you'll earn money. What are you going to need money for? Why, to replace that worn-out body armor, of course. That's right, your body armor (and presumably a number of other items in the game) will deteriorate over time, making them less effective. It's not yet clear whether you'll have to purchase weapons and/or ammunition a la Counter-Strike, or what any of the other consumables might be (grenades, perhaps), but it's certainly an interesting direction for the Rainbow Six series to be heading.

The subtiltle, man! What about the subtitle!

Can it live up to the previous ones like "Raven Shield", "Pandora Tomorrow" and "Island Thunder?"

I'll be picking up the Gamecube version.
I don't think there is one is there?

Anyhow, they need to fix the fucked up aiming. It is complete shit. If they would just use the Ghost Recon 2 aiming then I'm game. If they use the utterly fucked up RS3 aiming then I'm out.

i never understood what everyone means by this complaint. did you have a problem hitting something? or was it too easy?

if you're just talking about the leaning, that was fixed (albeit in a worse sequel.)

no, i am talking about the shitty aiming. there is a very laggy feel to it. there is a dead spot in it. when moving the right analog stick when u first move it the game does not reflect this movement until u hit a certain degree (its a dead zone). then when you finally get the thing moving it overreacts and flys.

the whole implementation is complete shit.

all they have to do though is use their Ghost Recon aiming system, which is really great.

oh, i see.

never seemed to bother me, actually. there was something about that rs3's aiming that came naturally to me. even with the sensitivity turned up to 9. i seem to be worse with halo & ghost recon 2, but that might be due to a lack of practice.

wow, the new MP sounds fucking terrible...

well, ok, sure its probably fun, but god damn, it aint rainbow six at all. looks like i'll be steering clear
