Maaaaan taraweeh was a mission with this heatwave in the UK. Even with all the fans on, I was sweating like I just played a game against Ronaldo.

Ramadan Kareem

Ramadan Kareem GAF! 14 hours here!

I feel more excited this year because now I could prepare my own suhoor by myself, no more walking at night or eat cold rice

Next, gonna try melon tech posted back here to stay hydrated

Ramadan Mubarak fam! Will be eating with family shortly so we can get day 1 started. I cant wait!

So as a newbie to this, I cannot decide how to structure my days for the next month. Dawn in Arizona for the next month is about 3:30-3:40am. To maintain my general sleep schedule, I'd have to be going to bed at about 8pm every night, which is kind of nuts. However, waking at my normal time of 7am and the not eating for another 12-13 hours sounds...dangerous.

What to do?

We usually get up in the middle of the night to eat. Sometimes we just eat big meals the night before since getting up the middle of the night is brutal and you feel so groggy and have no idea where you are for the first 10 minutes lol.

The toughest part of Ramadhan for me is summoning and sustaining the will to consistently do Tarawih prayers every night.

Sooooooooo toughhhhh >_____<

Suhoor was barebones as hell, couldn't be bothered to make proper dinner.

Opted instead to eat a ton of walnuts/pistachios/almonds with milk.

Feeling surprisingly full, lol

15 hours here in Toronto.

The usual sleep cycle takes a hit. Dawn is set 3am here. I'll be sleeping at around 10 I guess

Then sleep from 3-6.

That's on a good day!

Best of luck everyone. I'm not participating fully once again due to a combination of my daily headaches and medication I have to take at the start of the afternoon. But I'll minimise as much as I can.

Ramadhan Mubarak everyone. no longer fasting on euro times since I've finished my studies so back on SEA times. not that much difference tho. only ~6 hours less :^)

Ramadan Kareem everyone.

Just kicked off in the central time zone.

I think we're looking at something like 16 hours here. I feel like prior years were hotter and longer, so this feels extremely doable.

We'll see how I feel when lunch time rolls around though.

What if your job involves a fair amount of labor? I gotta walk all day for my job and I seriously have to grab some water every hour or two

Good thing here in KSA. they reduce the work hours from 8hrs a day to 6hrs a day. Those 2hrs do make a whole lot of difference.

I can't imagine fasting and walking around all day in the morning, Alhumdulillah, having a boring desk job at these times is wonderful with the AC cranked up to the full.
