Why is it that every fast food place has two drive up windows but the only fast food restaurant that actually uses both is McDonald's?

What's up with that GAF?

It's a test to find out if your dumb ass is listening.

Yes, I'm guilty of sitting a few minutes at the first window.

Dawg you probably go when it's not busy. Take some friends along in like twelve cars or whatever, and see if they open up the other window for your friends. If not then just be like real slow an maybe they'll be all like yeah we should open that other window.

I have seen places with three drive ups. Shit was real.

probably when it gets busier. just thought of something: what if you tell the cashier you're just looking for an exit and you go to the next window and take the food?

McDonalds probably developed the property, then moved on. Secondary fast food places buy the store but use their own model, which is usually one window.

The ones I don't actually get are the McDonald's that have 3 windows. I've never seen all 3 in use - one is always obviously being used as extra storage space. It's like a stupid idea they had for a year, built a few restaurants this way, and then gave it up.

My local mcdonalds has two intercoms, and I'm always prettified that I'm gonna end up with the wrong order by the time I get to the end of the drive and then I won't be able reverse.

Tim Hortons uses both.

Stumbled onto this:

Drive-thru only Tim's in Moncton.

The newest one by my work has that, but I've only had to use it once. It's there if an order takes a particularly long time to make, but since it's McDonald's that's pretty rare.

The third window does get used a bit at the Whataburger near home though.
