Me too, I'm curious because IGN's news post seemed so fragile with ifs, maybe's and allegeds, that I wonder why they ran it as news at all.

yeah I also wonder why they run this newspost today when it's several days old. Seems like IGNcube has nothing to do. How about getting us a damn scoop for once IGN?. I still pay for insider dammit.
 
i can see why nintendo fans want the ps2 version to turn out badly. if it's at all adequate, the gamecube loses its only claim on the brilliant, forward-thinking crop of action games we've seen lately. a competent ps2 version of re4 would make the gamecube a total loss, rather than a near-total loss. so i can excuse their eagerness, and indeed their schadenfreude should it come to that.

the claim that the gamecube version runs at 60 fps pretty well taints that "alleged purported supposed" report, though. i see matt omitted it from his article.

I still don't see why there are so much buzz around the PS2 version? No one is basicly talking about GTA:SA (another fantastic game) for xbox even though it's coming out in a couple of months.

I am sure the PS2 version will look fine, it will contain some extras, but the game is several months away.

And what do we exactly loose here? Gamecube has the game. Do we somehow loses claim of it, like it disappears when PS2 version comes out? That's just overplaying it.

ugh this topic needs a rest.

i went to the book store at lunch time near work and the issue of CG World didn't have anything about RE4 in it.

It did have Clap Hanz in there though talking about Mingol.

Perhaps that was last months issue?

Will check again.
